Still love it here
We first visited in March 2025 when the resort was Wyndham Alltra, and we returned again this year, now under Sunscape Hyatt. It was wonderful to see so many of the same warm and gracious staff still here, including Ivan at the gym. Thank you, Ivan, for always keeping the gym in great shape, stocked with water and towels, and for starting each morning with a welcoming smile. The candy store was a big hit with the kids. Thank you, Julio, for always serving those ice cream scoops with a smile and making it such a fun experience.

Enjoyed our stay at the resort

Wonderful trip to Cancun
My extended family got together in Cancun for Spring break, we enjoyed playing in the ocean and visiting Mayan ruins. The food was great and we appreciated how much the staff here took care of everything from airport transfer to food, entertainment (including nightly shows) and anything else we wanted.

Mar 20, 2026For March break, it was worth the price. But don't expect extravagance. It was pretty basic.
We went during Canadian March break. The second half of the week was busy with American college students on spring break. They were loud and rowdy. The main pool was small. And there was no lifeguard on site. There's only a lifeguard at the beach. The other pool (clover pool) was even smaller and meant for kids. They have a waterslide but it wasn't always operational and unfortunately had a height limit which meant adults couldn't enjoy it. The beach was nice on the sunny days and it wasn't a far walk from the resort pool, bar and food. But by our 3rd day there, the beach had a lot of seaweed. It didn't seem like it was being regularly picked up unlike another resort I've been to. But it wasn't rotting so it wasn't smelly. We had some very windy days though that were low 20C, so not exaclty the warmest for the beach. The wind made the ocean water more unsafe. So we didn't venture out as far or as long as we would've liked. The drinks were all very sugary. I didn't taste much alcohol. The Italian restaurant on site was surprisingly really good. The asian restaurant was terrible. The Mexican restaurant and the grill restaurant were both good too. I would return just for those restaurants. St Patrick's day fell within our stay. They had a foam (bubble) pit. That was quite fun. But it filled up with college kids on their spring break.
