Large and comfortable room, but customer service could be improved
During my recent trip to Disney, I spent a couple nights at the SpringHill and Fairfield properties in the Marriott Village before switching to a Disney resort. The complex is located just a short drive from Disney and conveniently sits right off I-4. Between the two properties, the SpringHill felt more dated and could definitely benefit from a renovation and improved customer service. While I wouldn’t completely avoid the SpringHill in the future if the price stays very low, I would go in with realistic expectations about the level of customer service and billing issues that come from the property. To start with the positives, my pool view room was spacious; while it was clear it had been some time since its last renovation, the room was still functional and overall clean, minus a couple long hairs in the shower. The room could easily fit a family and offered enough room for everyone to have some personal space. The SpringHill had a nice complimentary breakfast in the mornings, complete with several Mickey waffle makers. The quality of most food was just okay, but the breakfast featured a good variety of options. Customer service was the main area where the property was lacking. When I arrived before noon, I was helped at the front desk by Mary and a young trainee. I asked about potentially checking in or just having my bags held if a room wasn’t available (completely understandable, given the time); Mary made it seem like she was doing me the biggest favor in the world finding a room and waving a significant early check-in fee as a “one-time exception” (this was repeated multiple times) despite her mentioning several rooms were available and acknowledging my higher-tier Bonvoy status. I completely understand rooms are not always available early and was very realistic about this, which is why I asked if holding bags was an option, but Mary’s spiel made it feel like I was supposed to be forever grateful for such a gesture. On another note, the front desk agent at the Fairfield looked at me like I was crazy later in my trip when I asked if there would be a fee for checking in early; his response was “of course not!” citing that the room was available anyway and acknowledging my Bonvoy status. Major contrast from the tone at the SpringHill! It’s also worth mentioning to check your bill before you leave the property. I was initially billed the wrong rate and a front desk agent at the Fairfield ended up straightening it out; furthermore, the SpringHill submitted a bill with the incorrect dates for my stay to Bonvoy, which led to a bunch of issues with missing points for other trips due to "overlapping stays" (which didn't actually happen) that I had to straighten out with Marriott Customer Service after my trip.

Moldy smell and Mickey waffles
I stayed here for a work conference so it wasn’t really my pick. The room smelled like mildew the moment I walked in, and the AC unit seemed to exist purely to circulate that aroma. It couldn’t be turned off, and somehow managed to make the air more humid. The windows didn’t open, so “fresh air” was just a fantasy. The pool area was sad and tired. No bar, not particularly clean, and the hot tub smelled like something had died in it. Definitely not the relaxing end-of-day vibe I was hoping for. Bathroom towels were thin, scratchy, and clearly past their prime. Breakfast looked about as cheerful as the rest of the place, though I’ll give them credit for the Mickey waffles, the only cheerful thing about this property. Everything about this hotel feels old, neglected, and grimy. If this had been my own trip, I would have packed up and left for something better. I genuinely feel sorry for families who book this place expecting a magical vacation experience. Do yourself a favor and spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Beware of time share presentation
SpringHill Suites by Marriott Orlando Lake Buena Vista in Marriott Village June 5 -8, 2025 I arrived on June 5th and was approached by the hotel staff to tour there vacation resort next day. The hotel transported me to the vacation property, provided information regarding a timeshare with several meetings with different people to convince me to purchase a contract for vacation rental. When I refused I was promised a trip back to Florida or vacation points which would be applied to my Marriott Bonvoy account. It is now September 23rd and no points have been applied. I would advise anyone who do not want to spend their valuable two hours of their precious vacation time not to accept any offers to tour the vacation property as their will be no free gift as promised as you cannot get the time back that was wasted without compensation.

Avoid Hotel
We had many problems with this hotel. First off they double charged us on a prepaid room that could have very much ruined our vacation because it takes 4-5 days to refund. Room smelled like mold and had a dirty wash rag hanging on the shower from previous guest. We couldn’t get a shuttle any of the days to Disney even tho they say to book a hour in advance, it was never available. A guy who worked there said we must have been booking it wrong then he tried and he saw it was in fact already all the way booked through the next day, we were then told well they are run through a third party like that was a good excuse. And then we booked tickets through the hotel to Disney and Universal the lady that helped us stated that we would be able to park hop to all the Universal properties because the main one we wanted to go to was the new Epic, that we made clear was the main one we wanted to go to and when we got to Epic we only had tickets to the two other Universals and were told the park hop option was not available for Epic. So we had to pay more money when we got to the park and we had tipped the lady for her help. Please beware of double room charges when booking in advance and make sure if you buy tickets you get the correct tickets and are aware that you cannot Park hop to Epic Universal.

The staff are so busy policing the people that they are not keeping the property secure they are so worried about being
Safety and Security is a major issue at this hotel keep yourself safe people get attacked in the parking lot cars get broken into I don't know what security is doing but certainly not being secure on this property if you go to them and tell them there's a problem they don't care they basically brush you off completely and totally unprofessional
