    Great Family vacation

We stayed at the resort over the Thanksgiving holiday and had an absolutely wonderful family vacation. Yes, there is still some construction happening—there’s never a perfect time for it—but it’s part of the ongoing rebuilding process, and it was very unobtrusive. It had no impact on our trip at all. The service and staff were outstanding. At check-in, Brian assisted us and was incredibly kind and helpful. He upgraded us to a bayside unit with a beautiful view of the Intracoastal. Before Hurricane Ian, we visited South Seas for over 20 years, and this was our first time back since. There have certainly been some changes, but a lot has changed in general over the past 3–5 years, so there’s no reason to fight it. For us, the biggest shift was the golf cart policy—you’re essentially limited to renting directly from the resort. As a business owner myself, I understand the reasoning behind it. Our kids had a fantastic time at the pools and waterslides, and we’re really looking forward to the new water park and pool opening. They also went fishing, and Nick was absolutely amazing—patient, friendly, and great with the kids. We enjoyed dinner at the new Beach House restaurant. It’s a bit pricey, but the food was excellent and we would definitely return. It would be nice to have an additional casual dining option, perhaps something like a sports bar. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and are excited to see the continued progress at the property over the next few years. Keep up the great work!

    Resort with lots of opportunities

Great location, the Resort is under construction and some parts are very dated. 1. Yes these are first world problems. 2. Stayed in the 2600 buildings - Interior is dated, they don’t do room service or pick up garbage every day. You have to request and they send someone. 3. Internet did not work so they told us to connect to any room next to us…Water pressure is very weak… 4. Pool area is great for kids and families. Only 2 waiters for the entire pool the 5 days we were there. Just walk to the bar and order or else you might wait 40 minutes. 5. A LOT of birds by the pool (crows, seagulls) ready to pounce on your food. This means bird droppings around the pool and sometimes on you while you’re laying by the pool. 6. You probably need to rent a golf cart as it’s a big resort ~ $180/day. 7. We made the best of it as we went mostly for fishing and it’s a great area for that.

    South Seas

The service at the Tarpon bar is fantastic. Diane and Jen are always friendly and quick and attentive. Everton and Andrew are energetic and give exceptional service as well. The four of them always make our vacation special. We were treated to a surprise to see Curly at the new Beach House. Curly has always given us amazing service. Thank you to all of them. And the views are spectacular as well.

    Southseas construction review

South seas is still under major renovations we checked out because of the construction everywhere. No restaurant there is open for breakfast & most restaurants have limited hours. The Marina restaurant is only open Wed-Sun others open after 5. I am sure in about 1-2 years after construction & with limited views from the units w/out the construction the resort will be beautiful again.
