Great downtown experience
We stayed here to be in the downtown area and the hotel was recommended. It was great as it was in the walking area of the arts scene and the promenade which apparently had just opened. We enjoyed Happy Hour drinks and apps and then went for a stroll. It was definitely a great choice for us! Recommend.

Convenient location
Check-in was swift and pleasant, which is what you need after a transatlantic flight. The room was quiet and had both a bath and a shower. There was a safe large enough for a lap-top. WiFi was so-so, dropping out occasionally. They have a secure room to keep your luggage after check-out if you have a late flight. The hotel is situated close to 16th street and can easily be reached from the airport via the train to Union Station ($10) and then the FreeRider bus. I did not try the breakfast (an extra $21!) but the room-only option is a good one as there are loads of places for breakfast within strolling distance. Overall, this is a convenient place for those needing to be in the downtown area.

Horrible
I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. While the bed was comfortable, everything else completely fell apart due to the front desk staff. I paid over $500 for this stay, including extra fees for a higher floor room and a guaranteed late checkout at 2 PM. Not only was I not given the room I paid for, but when I addressed the late checkout, the front desk staff—specifically Amber—was incredibly rude and dismissive. She acted as if I hadn’t paid for it and told me I had to leave by 12 PM, which was simply not true. The way I was treated was disrespectful and unprofessional. Instead of resolving the issue, the staff made me feel like I was the problem. For the amount of money I spent, I expected basic courtesy and competence, and I received neither.

Pick Me Up Visit!
A really good staff & front desk people. The “pick me up” signs, placards & notes posted around the hotel were very fun & meaningful after I endured & survived a 3.5 year personal tsunami (divorce, health & 4 bereavements)!

Comfortable stay overall
The hotel is well-located and comfortable. It also has a good onsite restaurant with tasty options and friendly staff. My only complaint is that the hotel put an about $450 hold on my credit card without my authorization. Nobody informed me about this and I don't know what it was for. The hold was removed after a few days and I was not charged, but it shouldn't have been made without notifying me. The staff told me that there would be a $250 hold as a deposit, and this about $450 charge was in addition to that.
