Not Impressed
The room was nice. The restaurant did not serve lunch so with only an hour, we had to walk outside in the snow and across the road or down the block to find lunch. When I went to take a shower after the days training, there was no hot water. For the price I would prefer to stay elsewhere

Happier elsewhere
Snoozers beware : as of November 2022, Sonesta Denver Downtown is undergoing a significant renovation. When booking your stay, know that the 6th floor is under active construction and rooms 614, 612, 610 and 608 are directly across from the elevators. The hallway noise is distracting and the walls are thin enough that we could legit hear people having relations in the room next door. The main floor and lobby were very cold. None of the lobby fireplaces were on/in use and multiple radiator heaters had been placed around the space and not at all effective. Ice machines on floors 6-12 were not operating, but a quick elevator ride to the 21st floor showed everything in much better condition. I recommend requesting a high floor until the renovations are completed. Ask when you reserve. Parking is pricey at $50 per night. There is honestly no shortage of parking, so this really seemed excessive. However, there is a lot to do and see within walking distance. Shopping, food and med/rec is all easy to find.

The best
Very cheap. Very good hotel rooms good location everything. I like the pillows that are fluffy. I love everything everything so good and you in the bathroom in the shower as nice as the towels I didn’t get to go to the pool because it was in the winter but that’s all right.

Front desk needs a better warning service.
The hotel room was comfortable and clean. I could not ask for more. The only situation was i needed just one hour to check out to finish up a zoom meeting in my hotel room. I called the front desk at 10:45 am to confirm check out, the female receptionist was cold, blunt and not friendly on the phone. She said the check out is at 11:00am and a $50 will be charge for that extra hour. I informed her I will be out by 11:00am. I had to cut my meeting short and my colleague heard the conversation. Overall the hotel is comfortable, nice room but front desk needs a better customer service tone.

Never again
Frustrating. Much time spent dealing with issues that shouldn't be issues. I needed to ask about a cancellation due to a friend being too sick to travel. I called for several days, emailed them, used the website message feature, and finally contacted corporate who said they'd also try to contact the hotel. Not a word from Sonesta Downtown Denver. I'm sure its the right number because it gives options on the call to speak with front desk, etc. Instead of reaching out and returning my recurring contact methods, they simply charged me for over half of the visit I now see on my bank statement. No communication whatsoever with me in any way at all. People are spending hundreds to thousands for a stay at the hotel, you'd think their would be a way to contact them over the course of several days using a variety of several contact methods. However, I'm very glad my stay didn't happen, as I assume from my difficulties and the other reviews I see now that it would have been far worse.
