Memorable stay!
Firstly, the views are absolutely incredible — everywhere you look. One of the highlights was the amount of wildlife you can see directly from the hotel, from lizards to macaws and toucans. It really was an amazing experience. The staff were wonderful and genuinely friendly throughout our stay. A special shout-out to Dylan, who gave us loads of helpful tips for our trip. A nice touch was being able to refill water bottles at reception. When we arrived, we had a complimentary bottle of red wine waiting in our room. The staff kindly swapped the red for white without any issue, which we really appreciated. Breakfast offered plenty of variety and was tasty, with lots of fresh fruit available each morning. We did pay quite a lot to stay here, and I think part of that is due to the beautiful location. That said, there were a few small things worth mentioning. The “adult pool” wasn’t adults-only during our stay, as there were children using it throughout. Rico Tico restaurant was closed for renovation, which we weren’t informed of prior to arrival. This didn’t affect our stay too much as we ate at the other restaurant a few times instead — the food there was fine. The room itself was slightly dated, but not in a way that impacted our stay, especially as we didn’t spend much time in it. The bed was very comfortable and we slept really well — waking up to the sound of howler monkeys in the morning was a unique experience. There’s no TV in the rooms, which we actually loved, as it encourages you to fully immerse yourself in nature. WiFi from our room was a bit intermittent. Happy hour runs from 2–4pm with a good variety of drinks available! I’d highly recommend the zip-lining across the road — we had such a fun afternoon. There are also some lovely walks nearby, but I’d suggest doing them early in the morning as it gets very hot by around 11am. We stayed for six nights and had a very enjoyable, relaxing stay overall. The location is great, and there’s a free shuttle to the beach (I believe the last return is around 4pm), though it’s easy and inexpensive to get an Uber back if you miss it.

Stunning views!
We went to Si Como for our honeymoon. It was the most beautiful hotel, with stunning views from the whole of the hotel. Our bedroom had a wonderful balcony, where in the morning we sat out with a coffee and watch the wildlife. We saw as much wildlife in the hotel as we did in the national park!! The staff are super friendly, and the restaurant is great also. Would highly recommend. Wish we stayed longer!

A big NO
Upon check-in, we were assigned the “deluxe room” we had paid a premium for, but it looked nothing like the photos online. There were no vaulted ceilings or headboard, the sofa had holes, the outlets were yellowed, and there was no artwork as shown on the website. To their credit, the staff kindly moved us to a honeymoon suite. While it was larger, it didn’t feel like a true upgrade. Overall, the hotel is extremely dated, and the rate being charged is unreasonable for the condition of the property. Deferred maintenance is evident everywhere—stains, missing grout, an outdated 1980s-style kitchen, and even cockroaches in the honeymoon suite. It’s disappointing, especially given the number of excellent hotels in the area. I truly regret choosing this one. The one positive was the staff, who were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the ocean view was lovely. The food, however, was just average. This hotel needs a complete overhaul, and I hope the new ownership takes meaningful steps to improve it.

Lovely hotel with excellent service!
We really enjoyed our stay at Si Como No, in particular we found the whole team extremely helpful and welcoming. Although the Rico Tico restaurant was closed, the Claro Que Si restaurant was excellent with quality, delicious food and, again, lovely, helpful service. Our room was comfortable but could do with a little updating, it had an excellent view and was next to an abundance of wildlife - watch out for the monkeys stealing your sugar sachets! The tours arranged by the hotel were excellent, in particular, the guided night walk was brilliant!

Si Como No is muy bueno
Si Como No resort was beautifully located on the Pacific Ocean. We were fortunate to have a view of the rainforest and the ocean from our superior room. The resort offers two pools which had stunning views of the ocean. The family pool has a water slide that is very, very fast and the water is a bit colder than the adult pool. Renovations were underway during our stay to renovate the restaurant and swim up bar in the family pool. The adult pool was fantastic with a swim up bar and small hot tub. Everything at the resort was clean and the staff was fabulous. Shout out to Sheyla at the front desk for being super friendly! The continental breakfast was delicious and always included fresh fruit, eggs, waffles and other items. We ate dinner one night at the resort and the food was good, but not outstanding. Resort is located near several restaurants but walking along the road is a bit treacherous (stick to the sidewalks). The resort is built into a hillside so there are many stairs/steep walkways to get around the property. The walkway surfaces are non slip concrete which is great for the amount of rain/humidity that is prevalent in this area. All in all, we would definitely stay at Si Como No again.
