    Lived up to expectations

    A hotel that has always been on my bucket list and I was certainly not disappointed. It was just fabulous. A wonderful position just on the beach with a boardwalk right there for morning walks. Staff and service were great and the room so comfortable and beautifully furnished with a view over the pool area to the beach. Could not fault it. Would love to have stayed longer and will definitely try to return.

    Iconic, with all the reasons to be

    Shutters on the beach was already a must go fifteen years ago, and remains just the same. The place is beautiful and charming - exterior and interior, wonderfully decorated, perfectly maintained and with an attention to detail that distinguishes the very best hotels. Location is also great, with free bicycles to explore the area. 2 things could be improved: the pool is a bit small but the real inconvenience is that it has too much chlorine, I got a rash. Also, the food (lobby & room service) could be improved. Breakfast is good but breakfast is easy :) Best hotel is Los Angeles for me!

    Perfect stay on the Beach.

    Great staff . Excellent location and superb dining. I was happily surprised. Not much of a ‘scene’, but if you don’t need /want that, this is the place to stay.

    Wonderful Stay

    Perfect location, right on the beach. Studio king had pull out couch for our two kids. Big room and bathroom. 5 minute walk to the pier and 15 minute walk to 3rd St Promenade. Hotel staff were professional, kind, and went out of their way to make our stay special. Huge shout out to Hakeem at check in, and Sergio (hotel car driver). If you travel 3 miles or less, hotel offers free rides and if you’re lucky, Sergio will be your driver who will serenade you (upon request) with opera! Hotel restaurants are great and free drink tickets were appreciated. Can’t wait to return!
