  Sheraton San Diego

  Stayed in the bay tower which ids an older hotel but is located close to the airport and restaurants.

  Wonderful place to stay!!!

  The hotel is beautiful and clean. The team is helpful. We ate at the breakfast buffet and at night we did the bar. Both were great with excellent views!

  Pretty place but a few issues

  The North Elevator was not working properly. We had to go up to come back down. The hygenie products are too masculine scented.

  Thin Walls, Stupid Fees

  My experience at the Sheraton San Diego Resort was extremely negative. We booked here due to the proximity to the airport and the timing of our early morning flight. When we entered the lobby to check in there was a large gathering of some sort of political event that had spilled into the lobby. Lots of drunk, obnoxious guests swearing in front of my kids. When I tried to check in, they said there was a problem with my room and assured me that it was a problem on their end, and not anything with my reservation. They then disappeared into the back room for five minutes and then came back and said I had been "upgraded". While they may call this room an upgrade, it was not an upgrade based on my expectations. I had a renovated tower room booked and they put me on a ground floor room in the Lanai wing. This was not great. The room was old and worst of all the walls were paper thin. We had someone next door to us from the political even who came into their room at 10pm yelling and swearing and having some sort of a party that lasted into this early morning. We had a 3am wake-up call and we didn't get much sleep. At no point did management or security address this issue. I complained the next day and the manager was very helpful and refunded me on two fees: An extra person charge and a resort fee... Which brings me to my next topic. Resort Fee: Resort fees are the dumbest cash grab for hotels. We arrived the hotel at 9pm, didn't use the pool or any of the facilities at the hotel and still they charge a mandatory resort fee. This is an absolutely cynical fee and any resort/hotel that charges one should get no higher than a two star review in my opinion. It's low class, it's a cash grab, it's dumb. Just build your fee into the room rate. Don't make it a separate, daily fee. Extra Person Fee: Outrageous. Simply despicable. The room (two queens) states that it accommodates up to four people. If I had been dishonest and said I was only 3 people in the room, I wouldn't have had to pay the additional person fee. Thanks for the lesson Sheraton and Bonvoy. I know now to not say how many people are staying in my room. I would give my overall experience at this property 1 star if it wasn't for Sonia at the front desk who was a problem solver and dealt with a very sleep deprived customer with grace and understanding.

  Great spot, close to everything, great views out the windows.

  Love the upgrades to the facility, it seems like every room will have a beautiful view, and there are several great restaurants to check out. Really appreciate the gal who checked us in on 4/11. We loved the room she chose for us.
