  Major concerns during both of my stays

  This review is based solely on my own documented experiences during two separate stays at this Residence Inn location. During my first stay two years ago, my emotional support cat was locked inside my room by staff after I was late on a payment. When I attempted to return to the room, I was told I could not enter until the payment was made. This situation was handled by the housekeeping supervisor and the manager on duty. Regardless of the policy, having my pet kept inside the room without access to me was extremely distressing and unsafe. I returned to the property for a second long term stay, and unfortunately my experience was even more concerning. Communication from staff was inconsistent and several requests were not followed up on. I reached out to the sales department with questions regarding long term accommodations and never received any response. Several basic amenities were missing or not maintained. The market did not stock swimming goggles even though the hotel has an indoor pool. At the front desk there were three containers of dog treats, but nothing available for long term guests staying with cats. For people living on the property for extended periods, these details matter. I also had concerns about cleanliness and general health standards throughout my stay, which I reported directly. As a long term guest, these issues directly affected my comfort and my sense of safety. This review reflects only what I personally experienced. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes necessary improvements for future guests.

  Dirty and Dated

  This hotel needs a renovation, better maintenance and better front desk staff. I had previously stayed here and this visit revealed a significant decline. The room, especially the kitchen area, is dated and overall was not properly cleaned. The carpets are dirty and stained. At check in, the employee failed to recognize my membership status (Platinum) and overall provided a service level below what I usually get at a Marriott property. The breakfast was okay and the shower area appeared recently renovated. While the hotel used to be a great option for visits to the Hartford area, I no longer recommend staying at this hotel.

  Okay hotel but could use updates

  Dated hotel that could use some updates to the rooms. We booked a suite and the bathroom was just a little awkward. It was placed inside the master suite with no access from the living room for our kids who slept on the pull out sofa bed. They kept needing to come through our room during the night. Other hotels have had multiple doors to access the bathroom for less awkward access. There was also staining on the carpets and wallpaper.

  Yuk!

  There is NO POSSIBLE WAY these reviews are real! This hotel is dated, dirty and the breakfast was horrible. I didn’t realize oatmeal and eggs could be so poorly cooked. The room was not clean and our “courtyard” view overlooks a number of air conditioning units. The furniture is dated and dirty. The carpets need cleaning - possibly replacing. I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

  Just ok

  The front desk woman who checked us in was not friendly or welcoming at all. She also did not give us the typical welcome bag even though we are members. Our room was fine except it didn’t look like it had been cleaned too well. The bag for the pull out bed was missing a bottom sheet and comforter. When we went to the desk to get a new one, two other people were doing the same thing because their rooms were missing it too. The breakfast was fine, but the serving area was a small, tight room.
