    Hotel going down and down

This hotel Standard has just gone down and down over the last 4 years The location is great but the biggest problem is the key cards? THEY JUST DONT WORK. This is quite an expansive hotel so when the key doesn’t work its over 500 m back n forth The reception Staff know why you have gone back to reception, THEY KNOW IT DOESN’T WORK. Ive stayed here about 25 times but just going Down and Down. So thi my last 3 times not work today but 70 times since i stay here over 1 year

Really Good Value for What you Get

My wife stayed here with friends in the past, and they liked their experience quite well. Her friend’s son loves trains, so they didn’t mind being near the back of the property where you can see and hear the commuter trains rushing by. This time my wife and I had a room in the front courtyard (room 222), near the pool and restaurant. The rooms in this section have little or no train noise, but they’re older and a little smaller. Recent updates have made the room clean, fresh, and comfortable. While the layout of the room says “dated,” the finishes say “we have made the best of it, and then some.” We were very happy with the comfortable bed and pillows, the flat TV, and the mini-fridge. There’s a full-length mirror on the inside of the closet door, and the funky old (but very clean) tiled shower had good water pressure. There are three amenities that make staying here well worth it. First, breakfast is included. Unfortunately, our flight was so early, we could not take advantage of the free meal, but we did get coffee from the lobby before leaving. Second, you can park a car in one of their lots on the edges of the property for up to a week for no charge. (After a week, they do charge $15/day.) That’s a huge benefit if you drive to SFO and need to leave your car. Third, they do not have an airport shuttle, but to make up for it they give you a credit of up to $30 for your transportation. They even offered to arrange a taxi for us! All the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. We will likely take advantage of El Rancho’s “Park, Sleep, & Fly” package again. It’s a really good value, considering all you get!

The room we were in had cigarette smell to it even though it was a non smoking room. The carpet was stained. Toilet made a loud obnoxious noise after every flush, probably something wrong with their plumbing system. Only good side is it's close to a lot of things, restaurants, grocery, gym etc.

A first - an American motel

Not quite what we were expecting, after 26 hours of travelling! Anyway, bed was very comfy, pillows soft, shower clean, and all reasonably quiet overnight. Breakfast? Hmmmmm. Paper plates, plastic utensils, chemical yoghurt and sour milk in the coffee! The bacon was tasty though. Never stayed in an American motel before. Might not choose to do so again.

The term airport should not really be in their name

They’re actually quite a distance away from the airport three or 4 miles and do not have a shuttle Nice breakfast room hours are 630 to 930. We got there close to 930 and it was a little light on selection. Overall work for a night I don’t think I wanna stay there for an extended stay
