Best holiday in Mexico!
We stayed here in December for 11 nights and had the best time. The entertainment staff stood out for us and were all super fun & helpful! Our favourites were Axel, Ari, Monica, Gabby, Jessica & Regina! There are plenty of activities here, and lots of food options for lunch & dinner. The pool concierge do everything they can to get you beds, and it’s super easy to get beds you want each day as they don’t let you reserve. We will definitely return here in future x

Peak Season Failures
I first came to this resort with my husband in June/July 2024 when hurricane Beryl hit. The experience was still incredible even given the circumstances. The food, service, Teodoro, etc. was incredible. We loved it so much we decided to come back on 12/13/25. The experience this time around has been nothing short of terrible. I’m not someone that typically complains (my husband is lol) but I’ve had a terrible experience especially in comparison to my last visit. I’ve concluded that this resort is not able to manage busy season / high capacity. I’ve summarized my experience below: 1. Accommodations - My husband confirmed a certain room upgrade with hotel staff months prior to our visit and had everything documented within email. When we arrived we were provided the wrong room. This typically wouldn’t be a big deal however the room had several maintenance issues. There was an audible dripping sound coming from the bathroom vent that persisted and a horrible sewer like odor was emitting from the bathroom. Granted maintenance did fix this issue the same day however we had to kill time since we could not access our room during this time. Ultimately, our room was changed halfway through our stay which we were happy with. 2. FOOD POISONING - This was by far my biggest issue. I had food poisoning my 3rd day here. The weather has not been ideal and we only had two fully sunny days and ofc this occurred on one of the two. One thing that I did not appreciate is that our butler informed us he would provide me with Gatorade however he stated they were out of stock. He then informed me he would provide me with Suero, which is the equivalent to pedialyte, but I was instead provided with a DIY kit that included club soda, sliced limes, & a salt shaker. This resulted in my husband going downstairs to purchase Gatorade and Suero from their fully stocked pharmacy/shop. I feel like comping a Gatorade/Suero for a guest that’s puking their brains out as a result of eating resort food is hospitality 101. 3. As a result of high capacity, if you were not at dinner by 6pm when they opened you would be subject to a 2+ hour wait & they run out of items :-) 4. Overall butler service was lacking all together. I understand that this is busy season and people suck but actively avoiding guests after they had a rough start to their trip is comical. Not responding to messages for 5+ hours is a bit silly. 5. Room service altogether. Food took forever, orders were wrong, items were missing, etc. (Vegan pasta had chicken mixed in) 6. Menus supposedly highlight when items contain pork but the menu is inaccurate at several restaurants. Thankfully I’m a Spanish speaker and clocked several items that contained pork but were not clearly labeled 7. TEODORO - Last visit Teodoro was my FAVORITE experience. It sucked this time around. For starters, they no longer include the wine pairing and you have to pay an extra $100/pp for it. Secondly, they switched chefs and it shows. The first experience the chef introduced himself and provided us with a really cool appetizer presentation etc. This time around they just seat you & plop the plates down and carry on. The food was also not nearly as good as it was last time. I do not recommend anybody attend the dinner as it truly was not worth it. The only positive was the staff. The pool staff, restaurant staff, bartenders, etc. were all incredibly sweet and kind. Timeshare people suck & are rude though. Which is typical for most places.
