Dec 28, 2025Disappointing Return After a Great Past Experience”
I stayed at this hotel two years ago, in October, and had a very good experience at that time, which is exactly why I decided to come back this year with high expectations. Unfortunately, this visit has been quite disappointing for several reasons. Upon arrival, I was offered a room upgrade, but it was not complimentary, even though as an Expedia VIP member I understood that upgrades should be offered at no extra cost, which felt confusing and not very transparent. All of the pools were extremely cold, including the hot tubs, and it is surprising that a hotel that considers itself luxurious does not have heated pools, especially given the weather. The dinner experience was by far the most frustrating part of our stay: nightly waitlists were extremely long, with wait times of almost two hours, clearly showing that the hotel does not have the capacity to properly accommodate all of its guests. When we finally managed to dine at the Allora restaurant, the food was also disappointing; the pasta was hard and lacked good flavor. In addition, I tried to reach my concierge multiple times one afternoon and was never able to locate her; I called several times and no one followed up with me, which made the service feel very lacking. To add to the disappointment, when I made the reservation I clearly noted that we were celebrating an anniversary with my partner, and I also called the hotel directly several times to emphasize how important this celebration was to us; however, there was no acknowledgment, gesture, or special attention at all. It is truly disappointing to see how a hotel that once provided such a great experience now feels so poorly managed and unable to meet the expectations it sets.

Currently staying at this hotel. Impressions of our first 24 hours. What a stunningly beautiful resort. The pools are amazing and the pool bars and staff really great. Breakfast was a fantastic buffet with great service and lunch at Seasoul was delicous- only a small wait. As newbies we werent quite prepared.for the queuing carnage in the evening- going down to dinner for 7 was a huge mistake resulting in an almost 2 hour wait! Now that we know it may be less challenging but this is the one element that stops this being a true 5 star resort.

I love the staff here!! Did water aerobics with Daniella and Christian, water polo with the whole activities crew, and some volleyball with Christian, Axel, and Jessica. Had a blast and got a key chain (even though I don’t hit the volleyball it hits me). Loved the live music and the blackberry mojitos. The spa and rooftop pool were extremely relaxing (and extra money for your parents😂). I liked the food but the service was slow at times and the waits are long. Overall it was a fun stay and I felt very involved, as the activities staff even learned my name. Had a great time.

Great resort with adult children
I took my adult children to this resort for a weeks vacation. The resort is beautiful and the staff was friendly and responsive to our needs. The events staff was great, especially Christian, Axel and Daniela. We had a lot of fun participating especially the water aerobics and pool volleyball. The food was mostly average and service was slow at the restaurants and the wait for a table long. I was also very happy with the service provided by the sales member Jerry, who showed me how beneficial a membership to the vacation club is, especially when our flight home was canceled and we needed to stay an extra day. Overall, I highly recommend this resort.

Can’t wait to go back!
Gorgeous resort with excellent food and amenities. The live music was exceptional every evening! Definitely will go back. Can’t wait!
