    This was an amazing experience for my husband and I. The hotel is very beautiful, peaceful and has lovely restaurants and bars. The best part for the whole week is that every SINGLE staff member in every department was perfect, always smiling, and not the fake smiles that staff put on but they were genuinely happy and at your disposal 24/7. We highly recommend visiting the spa and getting treatments because they were 20/10 with professional therapists. Also there was different entertainment every night and every act was incredible! We have had an unforgettable holiday and would definitely come again. Thank you Secrets!

    Great base for a relaxing break

    Secrets Resort ticked all the boxes. We came to Lanzarote needing sunshine and comfort, and Secrets delivered the comfort and more. It’s a 5* hotel and the staff could easily be categorised as 6*. They are almost unfailingly friendly and professional. (One or two exceptions, but it’s a huge hotel, nothing is perfect!) Highlights: the sushi restaurant, the shower in our room (!) , the balcony in our room with the sea view and the sunset, Macarena- Head of Guests Experiences- we were so impressed by her, that she deserves special mention. If you get ants in your pants thinking about sitting doing nothing for a week, as we do, hire a car. There isn’t a massive amount to do on the island, but recommended are the town of Teguise (not Costa Teguise), there’s a lovely craft market every Sunday in the town- we visited on a quiet day and on market day- Cactus Garden and Famara Beach. We were very grateful for our hire car! Secrets was the perfect base for our much needed break. Very happy to recommend.

    Lovely relaxing week

    We spent a lovely relaxing week at Secrets Lanzarote. It wasn’t our first trip to Puerto Calero but was our first stay in this hotel. We arrived about 1.30 pm and our room was available so that was a bonus. As other reviewers have said the staff are absolutely first class and we had a really good check in experience. We were unsure about whether to go ‘privileged’ or not - it was quite a lot extra and I wasn’t really sold on the benefits. In the end we decided not to and I was quite happy with that decision. There were always plenty of sun loungers and the pool wasn’t too cold to swim in. We only ate in the buffet where we always found something we liked. I wouldn’t rave about it but it was good and the staff serving and clearing tables were really friendly and efficient. My only surprise at the buffet was that a lady in her dressing gown and slippers at the evening meal wasn’t told to go and dress more appropriately. It’s a lovely hotel and if you are looking for a quiet relaxing week I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is that we have stayed in similarly good hotels that weren’t as expensive.

    Great place for a winter break.

    Very high standard rooms. Excellent staff and entertainment. Good food and lots of choice at the various restaurants. Great choice of activities including Pilates. Isabel the instructor was really friendly and the classes are open to all levels of experience. Highly recommend. Nightly entertainment really good and varied.

    Great Pilates and great entertainment.

    Lovely hotel with excellent facilities. We did Pilates every day with Isabel. She was brilliant and really helped everyone. The entertainment every evening is very good. Great singers and dancers. Highly recommend. This was our third visit and we will be coming again in February.
