  Destination wedding

  We cannot say enough incredible things about Dreams Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort and Secrets Bahia Mita Surf & Spa Resort. From start to finish, they truly brought our dream wedding to life. With everything that happened leading up to our big day, including multiple cancellations and unexpected changes, we were overwhelmed and unsure how it would all come together. But the team at Bahia Mita stepped in and went above and beyond in every possible way. When we had to rearrange our wedding the night before, they handled it with calm professionalism and genuine care. Not once did we feel like a burden. Instead, we felt supported, celebrated, and completely taken care of. A very special thank you to our incredible wedding coordinator, Nicte. She was absolutely amazing. Her organization, reassurance, and attention to every little detail made all the difference. No matter what challenge came up, she handled it flawlessly and ensured our vision came to life even better than we imagined. We truly could not have done this without her. The staff was absolutely incredible. Every single employee we encountered was kind, accommodating, and sincerely invested in making our experience unforgettable. We were especially lucky to have the most incredible butler, Roussie, who went above and beyond for our guests and us. From the smallest requests to the most important moments, she was attentive, thoughtful, and always one step ahead. She made us feel so cared for throughout our stay. We also have to talk about the food it was phenomenal. The quality was outstanding, and the variety was impressive. There were so many options for our guests to enjoy, and everything was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. It truly elevated the entire wedding weekend experience. We also want to share that Puerto Vallarta is back up and running beautifully. Throughout our stay, we felt completely safe and secure. The resort operates with professionalism and attention to guest comfort, allowing us and our guests to relax and fully enjoy every moment. Our wedding turned out more magical than we ever imagined. The setting was stunning, the service was flawless, and the entire experience exceeded every expectation. We are beyond grateful and so incredibly happy with how everything turned out. No words can truly express how amazing it all was. If you are considering hosting your wedding or staying at Bahia Mita, do it. They will take care of you like family and create memories that will last a lifetime. 💛

  Lied to and Scammed

  I was a guest from February 20-23, right during the situation in Puerto Vallarta. We checked out on the 23rd, but then because of everything happening, we did not know if our flight that evening was going to get canceled. Our airline was not helpful, and all flights that morning had already been canceled, so we really had no choice but to wait and see once we arrived to the airport. We spoke with concierge and got offered a special rate, and we booked one more night. We were offered a rate of $188 for two people for one night. However, when I checked my credit card statement, I saw that I was charged $379.65, so twice the amount. I contacted the manager, Jorge Chavez, and he refused to make it right. The fact that we were scammed out of money during such a scary and uncertain time, and then the manager responded calling it "confusion" and a "misunderstanding" is insane. We were lied to and scammed out of money.

  Secrets Bahia Mita - a wonderful getaway!

  This was our first visit to Secrets Bahia Mita and it did not fail to impress us. We were in the Preferred Club which is definitely worth the upgrade. Our butler Elizabeth was a sweetheart and helped with anything we needed. The resort is large, with Dreams and Secrets so took a day or two to get oriented. The elevators are a little tricky but once figured out getting around was a breeze. We used the SkyBar level 8 pool and bar every day. Our waiters Mario and Francisco were the best and always knew what we wanted. Our favourite waitress at Market Cafe was Aremy, she was there for us at breakfast daily. The Whales in the bay put on shows for us daily, although we didn't get to see them breach. We were unfortunate to have been there when the Incident happened in Old Town, the resort was on shelter in place but the staff went out of their way to ensure we were safe and well cared for. With the closure of most restaurants for a couple days we didn't get to try them all but Bluewater Grill, Portofino and Himitsu (great show put on by the Chef), were all wonderful and food and service was amazing. We have been to other Secrets resorts in Mexico and this one was one of the best. Big thanks to all the staff made our trip memorable.

  Romatic get away

  Romantic grounds. We had a great time at secrets bahia mita. barracuda bar at night was chill and tranquil with a good DJ looking up at the stars. large ocean inspired wooden engravings on the grounds. Can see whales breaching like shooting stars from The ocean front pools. large hotel over 600 rooms between dreams and secret side. Make sure to book secrets if you want adults only. Favorite restaurant for seafood bluewater Grill. We went sun-thur which is better because starting on Thursday it was really filling up in the breakfast cafe’s & pool Chairs. Stellar service. Lots of people escaping from wisconson, canada and colder weather. Staff was so nice. Shout out to Luis, Manatee bar. Octavio And Omar, Hitmitsu & Angeles in house keeping. Im came home so relaxed. thank u

  Celebrating in Style at Secrets Punta Mita

  We had a wonderful stay at Secrets Punta Mita while celebrating my 50th birthday over Presidents’ Weekend. Even though the resort was fully booked with two weddings taking place and families traveling during the holiday week, there was still plenty of space to relax, find seating, and enjoy the property without feeling crowded. We traveled with our dog and truly appreciated that the resort is dog friendly. While pet access is currently limited to certain areas, we hope the resort may consider expanding these spaces in the future. We have stayed at other hotels in Punta Mita that offer more flexibility for guests traveling with pets, so we share this feedback in the spirit of helping the resort continue enhancing its experience and welcoming future pet visitors. Our dog is very well behaved and simply enjoys being by our side, and we noticed a few other dogs during our stay who were equally well mannered. Since we frequently travel both domestically and internationally with our dog, how genuinely pet friendly a hotel is matters greatly to us. Dining was excellent throughout the stay. Bordeaux was our favorite dinner experience while Olio stood out for lunch. One highlight was reserving a rooftop cabana on the 8th floor. It was absolutely perfect and well worth the splurge for a special day. Our group of seven booked the Golden Vista II cabana which comfortably accommodated us with a spacious lounge area, two Bali beds, refrigerator, plunge pool, large TV with Amazon Music, hot tub, shower, and exceptional privacy. Julio, Fernando, and Hector took excellent care of us throughout our cabana day and made the experience truly memorable. We also want to recognize Jorge, the bellhop at the entrance, who was incredibly kind and welcoming each time we arrived or departed, and our wonderful butler Glaidola, who went above and beyond assisting with special requests and ensuring everything during our stay was seamless. We didn’t make it to Portofino this trip but thoroughly enjoyed Mezes instead. For the more popular restaurants, especially with groups of six or more, it helps to send someone ahead to check wait times. Bordeaux also requires a wine bottle purchase when reserving the larger private dining room that accommodates groups of eight. The spa was wonderful and a perfect way to round out the experience. Overall, it was a fantastic birthday celebration and we would happily return.
