Beautiful resort close to beach but not on the beach
The resort is beautiful with plenty of pool areas and spaces. Since its a new resort, everything is very clean and has that new feel. The casino was not open while we were there. We never felt crowded and chairs and umbrellas were always available. We never felt the need to get up early to "reserve" lounges like some places. The infinity pool was amazing and has a swim up bar. The standard set of Secrets restaurants, the market cafe (buffet), and coco cafe (coffee shop). The coffee shop is always a favorite for us for snacks and coffee. The restaurants could have used a few more entree offerings to have more options if you stay several nights. The food was all excellent. We used room service several times and the food was also good. We did find it easier to call instead of using the app if you wanted to customize anything. There was the ability to schedule a time on the app which was nice. Service was always within 30-45 minutes depending on what you ordered and time of day. Plenty of bar spaces and drinks were of good quality. The buffet was great and breakfast was always our favorite and open until 10:45 every morning. Lunch was 12-3:30pm I think so be sure to plan ahead so you don't miss lunch. There were lots of entertainment things happening in the main pool but we never participated but people seemed to be having fun. I saw some people doing the bike tour too. There are lots of walking/ trail running options from the hotel. I ran several miles every day and always felt safe and had a blast. I loved running up the cliff that has the "lighthouse" on top. Head down the sidewalk to beach and go left down the road. There is a paved road and then also some trails to go around the point and up the back side where a small natural bridge is and then I took a trail down the backside towards the windmills. You can then run the 4x4 trails out to the red anchor and several different roads and trails over to the old refinery and back down to Secrets. The resort is very quiet at night and throughout the day. It is located at the southern end of Aruba and is a good 30 minutes from the main city and airport. Just be warned you will need a car or transportation if you want to go see the sites. There are tour operators onsite and car rental on site. Beach beach is a super short walk via a concrete path. Secrets has a security officer on the path that asks your room number and name when you leave and come back. The beach is public and does get crowded quickly. It is a great beach still. Secrets staff were setup under a thatched hut to left and provided lounges, chairs, beer, water, towels and snorkel equipment. Be warned there are no umbrellas and the sun will burn you quickly. Big Mama's hut is on the beach and is not part of Secrets so requires money. It even requires money for the bathroom. You can snorkel on the left end of beach and see fish and turtles. There is a decent size "hole" there that drops off on the other side of the buoys. There are golf carts that will take you up and down the hill from Secrets but honestly its an easy and quick walk. Rooms were well decorated and nice. The bed was super comfy, housekeeping was great, mini fridge stocked daily and ac was cold. The shower was a bit smaller than some Secrets we have been at but it was nice and had great pressure. There weren't any of the food drop-off "secret" boxes like some Secrets we have been to so staff would come in the room for room service. All in all we had a great time and would definitely go back. There were a few minor customer service things that popped up but that comes with a new resort. They will get better at handling things. For the most part the staff were amazing though!

Dissatisfaction
My husband and I are UVC Impressions members and this Secrets Baby Beach trip is our first as Impressions members. When our butler escorted us to our preferred club swim out room we were disappointed in the room which was not a king or Ocean View as requested and asked for a change and were told they were at capacity which was not the case. He did say if a room became available he would alert us and three days later we moved to a better location which was Ocean View Swim Out facing the preferred club Infiniti pool. Much better location and better pool service. Our Butler experience is not what we are accustomed to from prior trips. Baby Beach is a public beach and a short walk from the resort. Shuttles are available for guests who prefer not to walk. SECRETS has a very limited dedicated area with staff who will set your lounge and beach chairs. You are gathered all together under the tents for shade. We were told they will get individual huts and bring food trucks and more variety of alcohol beverages. There is a privately owned restaurant on the beach that you could buy food and beverages and pay out of pocket. LORENZO, JESUS AND WILLIAM THANK YOU !!! for taking care of setting our chairs up under the shade and filling our cooler with water and beer. You were the highlight of our trip, we miss you! Rooms are beautifully decorated, plenty of closet space, outside soaking tubs in all rooms which is odd since you have no privacy if you are using the tub. Room service was prompt and the food is better than we expected. Our room was cleaned daily and mini fridge is stocked also daily. Tried to order a bottle of house wine and were told you cannot, but you can pay $200 for a higher end wine! Puzzling since this is an ALL INCLUSIVE RESORT. February is our anniversary and we never received a banner on our door or signifying our UVC membership status. Funny, since prior trips UVC staff hounds you and hounds you to join and upgrade. Well, now that we are the highest tier they forget you, or so we thought we jumped from “platinum” to “ impressions” to avoid taking time out of a vacation for a long upsell meeting. BUT there is another Impression Black level that is NOW at the moment the highest tier. UNTIL NEXT YEAR! The resort is not even a year old and clearly still have growing pains, we voiced our concerns and disappointments to a UVC Manager who agreed and says that we should be treated like Kings and Queens being impressions members and in a few years this resort will be different. We requested another meeting with the manager through our UVC representative which never happened, lack of communication or just didn’t want to be bothered ? All in all, resort is beautiful, great food, service has growing pains. UVC and Preferred Club management is disappointing. Our daughter went to a newer Secrets Mexican Resort to celebrate her 20th Wedding Anniversary on our UVC membership and experienced a couple serious situations which left her in tears caused by staff. We intend to further pursue these situations to higher corporate management. In the eight years being UVC members why the lack of hospitality and overall good service is clear lacking. I hope we receive a response from UVC. The resort is absolutely beautiful. The beach is a short walk from the resort, with shuttles for guests who do not want to walk. Keep in mind that Baby Beach is a public beach. Secrets has an area dedicated for their guests with beach staff to set up your lounge or beach chairs. A big THANK YOU to LORENZO, JESUS and WILLIAM for taking care of us and making sure we had shade and a cooler of Beer and water. There are tents for shade but you are all gathered together. We were told the resort is working on getting more individual huts and bringing food and other alcohol beverages for guests. A restaurant is located on the beach that is not owned by Secrets, so you would pay for food and beverages. No distinction for preferred club guests. This is the biggest downfall of the resort and quite different from other Secrets resorts.

Honeymoon Trip
my husband and I chose to go to secrets baby Beach for our honeymoon. I was pleasantly surprised with how clean the resort was. The food was really good for it being a new resort. I liked the way that the pools were set up and the swim up bars were all very nice and we used the preferred pool, which was nice to have a quieter change of pace versus where the party pool was. The beach is beautiful and just steps away from the hotel and it’s really nice that you can snorkel right from there and see tropical fish and sea turtles. The service was very good and all the staff was super friendly. I liked that the resort offered a car rental place right there. We did take advantage of it and rent a car for a day to drive all over the island which is super nice. We also booked our excursion right from the hotel, which was convenient and easy. I did not like getting pressed by the timeshare women but I understand that is their job. I would highly recommend secrets, baby Beach. We will definitely be back

Secrets Baby Beach
My husband and I were here for 1 week. The property nice, not WOW! The room was nice and new. The breakfast and lunch buffets were great. The dinners not so much. The best we had was at Portofino, Italian food. all the others nothing to speak of. Another restaurant, Oceana, was like eating in a cafeteria. No ambiance and the food was not good. They need good fresh fish dinners and make it a little "romantic". After all it is an all adult inclusive. The bars were ok. Not one good bourbon. How about a makers mark? Give we "less preferred" adults at least one good bourbon. Many at the "preferred bar!" Just one would have been nice. The pools were beautiful. The swim up bars were great! Yesmar was awesome at the infinity swim up bar. Took great care of us. Thanks so much! The staff was very friendly and attentive. We love Aruba! The weather was awesome! And enjoyed getting away, but we won't be returning here anytime soon!
