    Wonderful place, with a few serious flaws.

    We just returned from a three night stay at the Sandpearl. At first glance, it is ritzy and very nice. Location is amazing as is the service. However, on the last day there was an issue at the hot tub, where a masonry stone that was near the hot tub fell while I was getting in. It almost hit a child and I managed to catch it so it wouldn't hurt anyone. These stones should be secured and not loosely layed. It is a major code violation and a serious threat to visitors too.

    Pleasantly surprised given some reviews

    I generally prefer Ritz Carlton’s so I scoured reviews in Clearwater Beach and St Pete and settled on Sand Pearl at the recommendation of friends who live in Clearwater. In retrospect some of the reviews seem quite unfair. The staff here have all been extremely friendly and accommodating. The valets are quick to get our car as necessary, the in room dining is fast. The food has been quite good and we also brought friends to a lovely lunch a Carrettas yesterday with great service and food. Tates is a typical beach side restaurant with friendly staff and great drinks. The menu could be more low carb friendly. Our suite, although a bit worn in spots from age, is very comfortable and roomy, as well as clean - especially where it counts. I had to wash the dishes and silverware we were going to use in the dishwasher but I would do that no matter what. We have two balconies and a nice view although it is called a partial view. The staff has been wonderful from front desk to housekeeping and turn down service. I’m glad I didn’t buy into the reviews that seemed very personal in nature. We are on day 5 of our 6 day stay. I will write a final review upon check out but so far all thumbs up.

    2nd SP trip. Still wonderful

    We always feel special at Sandpearl. We recommend the 3rd floor oceanfront king. Largest patio and lovely view. Everything was perfect. Housekeepers are incredible, Valet terrific, front desk and concierge top notch. Carettas was fantastic, one of our best meals. Poolside bar/service was the only thing that does not deserve 5 stars (not including the very tall bartender who was great) and there were some hot tub jet issues but the maintenance guy was there and working on it.

    A wonderful experience with nothing but accolades for the staff, environment, and food.

    My wife and I just made our first visit to the Sandpearl for a quick getaway and we could not speak more highly of the entire experience. Lay at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful in explaining the various amenities and activities available at the resort. Alex at Caretta’s and Elaine at Tate Island Grill made every meal wonderful, so we never felt compelled to dine off the resort. We did a couples escape at the spa which was wonderful but much of our time was spent on the beach. Their private beach is the best on the gulf coast. Looking forward to returning in the future!

    Great honeymoon trip

    Spectacular experience would go again. I only rated sleep 4 because there were some children making noises above us one night but otherwise the bed was great. The free shuttle was really convenient. I also appreciated how willing they were to assist us with anything through either text or in person.
