Dorothy in the gift shop was great! The grounds were beautiful with well attended landscape. Highly recommend this property!

Lovely Grounds, So-So Rooms
For perspective, traveling w/young kids so rate was initial main driver for booking. Property location was excellent- since we had a car. The common areas are beautiful and well maintained. The happy hour at the bar and restaurant were great. Areas of opportunity: 1. Modernize how to request housekeeping, especially if trying to remote skipping room cleanings. Took 2 calls and 20 min wait to get fresh towels. 2. Specific to the room, there is room for improvement in regards to cleanliness. Bathroom could use a deep cleaning and paint freshening up. Found remnant hair in the tracks of the shower door and paint scuffs over trim/walls etc... 3. Not much in walking distance besides a playground and picnic grove. There is a small shop but closed too early (1pm during our stay).

Wonderful Stay
We had a beautifully updated spacious room. A King water view studio. The grounds are lovely. Staff was helpful and friendly. We were celebrating a birthday and anniversary, and they kindly waved our parking fee.

Highly recommend, great stay, very pleasant memories
We had fantastic time here. Everything was great right from the start. Customer service (Ryan) was the best. The Hotel was immaculate with great amenities. I highly recommend the Restaurant (Covewood) located in Mission Bay Resort. Best clam chowder I've had in years. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The view from the seventh floor patio was spectacular! We are planning to come back soon.

Great location and staff
Front desk staff was great. Restaurant staff was very considerate with our allergy restrictions and was not bothered by all of our questions on what ingredients were being used to cook certain dishes. All of the bathroom amenities has coconut in it (which we are allergic to) and the staff was able to find alternatives and brought hem to our room. Given that we came on a very busy weekend the hallways were not too noisy/we weren't able to hear guests talking through the walls which we really appreciated since it was our first time staying at a hotel with our baby. Some features in the room could use some updating but would definitely visit again especially since it is so close to major SD attractions.
