    Unlimited, reservation-free a la carte dining includes a Japanese Teppanyaki and Sushi Bar, an authentic Italian trattoria, Mexican and steak restaurants.  On any day you please, unwind with a mid-afternoon coffee and exquisite dessert at the cafe.

    Avoid this hotel if you are considering it as a wedding venue, ruined our special day

    As far as all inclusive hotels go this is one of the better ones I have stayed at, BUT..... we were a wedding party who had tried to plan the perfect day in the year leading up to our special day and the hotel absolutely ruined it and couldn't seem to care less. We spent the year, yes year leading up to the big day trying to secure our wedding meal location and the response was shocking. Once in destination we finally, or so we thought managed to book our preferred location which we had spent a year stressing about and trying to secure. We paid for and booked the private dining area in the steak house and literally 15 minutes before the ceremony we were called to ask for confirmation of the dinner location, both options NOT what we had booked and PAID for. The mother in law was in tears and furious, hotel couldn't care less apparently human error is ok. I then arrive at the beach for the ceremony after having had a long sit down with the wedding planner in the days before and I had specifically asked about the seaweed on the beach. The beach has a big seaweed problem which they clear through out the day, I was guaranteed by the wedding planner there would be no seaweed at the time of the ceremony, no confusion, no we will see what we can do, we were guaranteed. Arrive at the beach and seaweed piled up high as far as you can see. I raised this and was told the photographer could edit it out, I'm sorry but that's not good enough, we wanted original wedding images not edited ones. This led to our guests literally running along the beach in number 1 wedding dress to find rakes from the maintenance team and our very own wedding guests using hands feet and rakes to clear the seaweed before the bride arrived. Totally unacceptable. Also discussed prior to the day was our wedding music which I had saved to Spotify, the planner asked me to send him the play list which I did and he would take care of the rest. All started ok but no sooner had we finished the ceremony the music stopped and was packed away, I asked what was going on as we wanted our play list playing in the back ground whilst we had drinks and took photos. The planner said he needed to be else where and the list was on his phone, clearly I didn't have my phone with me and in any case there was no internet at the beach so we lost our music followed then by our drinks, I mean, seriously you cleared off with the drinks also. We then arrive at the steak house for our wedding meal to find we had been shoved in the wine cellar where they had put some tables. Our guests were elbow to elbow and there was no room to move ontop of waiters constantly coming in and out to get wine for the restaurant. Royalton Riviera we are disgusted, you ruined our special day which we spent an absolute fortune on and spent so long looking forward to, your idea of making things right , another dinner in the already all inclusive hotel. I chose the Lobster for my wedding meal, I'll laugh when I say it tasted like it just came out the sea, the taste of salt was all that could be tasted and I was up most that night with a bad tummy as a result. If you are considering getting married here I can't warn you enough, nice hotel but DO NOT get married here it's is not worth risking your special day. Also the hotel don't seem capable of looking after larger parties so if you are planning a larger group holiday and would like to sit together for your evening meal in the specialty restaurants then think again, they will say they need to sit you at different tables, we didn't come away as a wedding party of only 13 to find trouble being seated together at meals.

    Beautiful Resort, Exceptional Staff

    We had a great stay at Royalton Hideaway in Cancun and the service truly made the trip. As a Marriott member, we had 24-hour access to a private concierge, Francisco, and he was fantastic. Extremely responsive and reliable, he handled everything we asked for and more. He coordinated two separate room decorations for special occasions (sending photos to confirm), and even secured a birthday dinner reservation after we were initially told it couldn’t be done. Friendly, fun, and professional from start to finish. Hector, the pool manager, was also excellent. He helped us secure chairs at the pool, checked in frequently when we had a cabana, and made sure we were taken care of and having fun. Great personality and genuinely welcoming. The resort is beautiful and clean, food was... well resort food (had some issues with room service), but the staff is what made it memorable.

    Family vacation

    We just returned from a five-night stay at the Royalton with my two teenage children and my sister, and we absolutely loved it. We upgraded to the Diamond Club experience, which I highly recommend, it truly elevated our vacation. The resort is beautifully laid out, and we were able to walk freely throughout the property, which made it feel expansive yet easy to navigate. The restaurants were excellent, especially for an all-inclusive resort. Every dinner was very good, and we were consistently impressed with the quality and presentation. One of our favorite perks was the 24-hour room service. We enjoyed breakfast in our room a couple of mornings, and the à la carte options were fresh, delicious, and such a relaxing way to start the day. While the resort itself is wonderful, the true highlight of our vacation was the staff. There were a few minor hiccups during our stay, but 2 individuals went above and beyond to ensure everything was handled quickly and perfectly. Juan at the pool was friendly, thoughtful, sweet, and incredibly helpful, he made our pool days extra special. And Gina, our butler, was outstanding. From the moment we arrived, she secured our dinner and spa reservations, making everything seamless. When we experienced a small issue and management was slow to respond, Gina and Juan stepped in and went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. Their professionalism, warmth, and dedication truly made a difference. Gina and Juan are stars, and our vacation would not have been the same without them. We are so grateful for the care and attention we received and would not hesitate to return.

    8/10!

    Came to the resort for a wedding … there were definitely some hits and misses! The room was great and clean! The resort is humungous and could use a bit more signage and direction! The food was hit and miss, the best thing we had all week was definitely the food truck! and Jocelyn & Gustavo were so helpful and attentive it helped make the trip so seamless and one to remember!
