Guests may choose from 10 a la carte and buffet restaurants, a cafe, as well as 24-hour room service. One a la carte restaurant is exclusively for Hideaway guests.
Unlimited, reservation-free a la carte dining includes a Japanese Teppanyaki and Sushi Bar, an authentic Italian trattoria, Mexican and steak restaurants. On any day you please, unwind with a mid-afternoon coffee and exquisite dessert at the cafe.

Mar 22, 2026Great Family Vacation
We just got back from the Royalton Riviera Cancun. This was our third time vacationing at this resort. We like it there, the food is good, the resort is very clean, and the staff is awesome. I would highly recommend The Diamond Club if you are visiting this resort. You get access to the diamond club pool, premium liquor, a butler who will take care of you and make all your à la cart reservations and much more. This time we also go to do a hydrotherapy session at the spa that was amazing and it was included. If you can work it into your package before you go - I would suggest that. It can be very expensive to add on once you get to the resort. The staff certainly made our time the most enjoyable. Benny and Rengel (Our butlers) were incredible. They reached out daily with activities, they made all our reservations, and were quick to respond to our needs. They were kind and responsive and we felt well taken care of. On our first night we needed to change rooms, and though we couldn’t make the switch the first night, they were the most helpful in ensuring we were able to switch the next day. They took care of the whole change for us. Juan by the Diamond Club pool was also a gem. He has the hardest job of managing the lounge chairs. Important to know that chairs are “claimed” very early in the day by folks who are up bright and early. If you want a spot, you need to be down there by 730am. You can grab some chairs and go for breakfast, but know that you only have an hour. If there is space, talk to Juan and he will be so happy to get you set up with towels and umbrellas. Overall, we love this resort. There are many food options for picky eaters. Our kids have loved it here each time and it’s been fun seeing them grow from little kids who will only eat pancakes, pizza and fruit to pre-teens and teenagers who are trying octopus and tuna tartar.

Our week at Royalton Riviera
One of the best resorts we’ve been Spring breakers ruined the first half of our vacations but we had a great time Jorge the waiter by the pool made our week Mario at the buffet and the Italian is caring and an amazing waiter Armando at the teppanyaki is caring and made everything to accomadate our daughter’s allergy, he was amazing Pretty much a great week We’re not much of people who goes 2 times at the same place, but could happen there

It’s a great resort with a lot of options and food was fantastic. But there were things that could be improved. “Scoops” the coffee and Gelato place always has a line where you waited a minimum of 15-20 minutes as there is not enough staff scheduled to work there. They are quick and helpful but there is just not enough of them for the amount of people that want coffee and gelato. The Caribbean restaurant and Agave are mosquito filled… each of us got over 30-40 bites and could not enjoy our dinner even tho we we’re indoors
