Dec 28, 2025Unforgettable Family Christmas Vacation
Our group of 12 adults (18-57) stayed at the Royalton Hideaway during Christmas week, and while the resort had its ups and downs, our butler Denis was the absolute standout. Being part of the Diamond Club was worth it just for him. Managing a party of our size during the holidays is a challenge, but Denis worked his magic to get us every reservation we asked for, even when we changed plans at the last minute. He also made my nephew’s 21st birthday so special with room decorations and a cake. The dining was a bit of a mixed bag. Jade was our favorite by far; the food was excellent and Alejandro was a fantastic server who kept the energy high and our drinks full. We also loved our final night at Hunter Steakhouse sitting outside, and the beach BBQ was very tasty. On the other hand, Dorado was a letdown with poor service and missing side dishes, and Grazie was just okay. The buffet is decent, but you really have to get there early for breakfast if you want hot food. One word of advice: don't rely on room service. We waited over an hour for an order of five items and only a single sandwich ever showed up. The resort itself is a great size and very walkable. We spent a lot of time at the adult-only pool, which is perfectly sheltered from the wind and sand. JP Papi made the daily activities a blast, though I wish the music wasn't so constantly loud. It’s hard to have a conversation when you have to yell over the speakers. We also noticed a bit more of a language barrier here than at other nearby resorts like Dreams Onyx. The rooms could definitely use some updating, but they were kept clean by our lovely housekeeper, Estrela, and maintenance was very quick to fix a few issues we had at the start. My biggest frustration, which seems to be a trend at all-inclusive resorts lately, is the constant need for cash tips. It takes away from the "all-inclusive" feel when you have to carry bills for every single interaction. That said, the staff like Denis and Alejandro truly made our Christmas one to remember.

Staff is very accommodating. No complaints. Our butler Dennis S. was wonderful. Jomie, Wilson and Mary were great also.

We had a great time on our family Christmas trip here. Denis did an amazing job making our trip more special. He was able to take care of things like dinner reservations so we didn’t have to think about it while on vacation. Juan the bartender at the Hideaway was also great and always had a smile on his face.

Awesome Experience at Royalton Hideaway!
We were blessed with the opportunity to travel with a family group of 12 to vacation at Royalton Hideaway at Punta Cana. This was our second visit, both times upgrading to the Diamond Club which was well worth the extra money. Denis, our Butler, made sure our stay was extra special! He took great care in working through large group dinner reservations, as well as making sure any issues we had were immediately addressed, and making sure we felt like important guests at all times. The resort could use some updates, but the service was too notch anywhere we went on the property. Mary took great care of us at the lobby bar, and the entire staff at the hideaway pool bar was awesome! I highly recommend Royalton Hideaway, Diamond Club, and Denis!!
