  Beautiful Vacation

  It was a wonderful vacation, Pedro our butler has been so helpful during our stay. Did all the bookings for our dinner.

  Worth a visit

  Ok then - please read this honest review from a couple who have travelled the world, this hotel is well worth going to - we normally go for 4/5* and this hotel is in the 4* range, Accommodation is just like the photos and larger then you would normally get, very clean and mini bar topped up daily. General service in the hotel good but you sometimes have to wait a little while ‘your on holiday so just need to be patient’. We had a hotel customer service representative ‘Angela’ who was excellent and looked after our every need. The TUI rep ‘Fanny’ also very helpful. The booking in/out was painful due to very busy due to lack of staff and the lazy river - ‘was not’ as you had to swim round, so in fact it was an exercise river, no water flow to push you around. Bar’s excellent and all staff friendly ‘even better if you tipped’. Our only criticism was the Diamond Club ‘don’t do it’ - they wanted $1200 (£1000) for our 11 day stay reduced to £800 after some haggling- we decided to think about it and decided not to do it as ITS NOT WORTH IT- the separate beach and pool never had any beds available unless you played the towel game early, they are other things they say you get, for example a butler’Angela’ was better than a butler, and other benefits BUT there are loads of sun beds around, all restaurants excellent and food of a good quality with lots of choices. Entertainment very good, repeats every 7 days though. Worth a visit 😊

  Stay away. Stay far far away.

  This resort is horrendous. No hot water. No service. No room service. Longs lines at buffet. No assistance from teams. No service at restaurants, bad food. Just in general a bad experience

  Lovely hotel in paradise

  Overall we had a really nice holiday, the room was stunning we got a top floor overlooking the Italian/kids pool. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The resort itself was very clean and looked after by the gardening staff. The pools were always clean too. We had dinner at the Italian and then the hot plate experience at the teppanyaki restaurant (a must) which we both really enjoyed. We also ate at Oceanside (not good in our opinion). Lunch at Rio was great too. Most of the staff were really friendly too always saying hello, understandably some didn’t which we would not hold against them as English isn’t their first language ( I can speak the basics Spanish so would always try to greet them). Once you saw the same staff they would recognise your face and know your order and great you with a smile. Also would like to comment specifically on Angela, the TUI concierge was amazing, she greeted us on our first day and then remembered every detail about us, we were there for my birthday which they set something up which was lovely of them and she always checked up on us to make sure we were okay. Okay now onto the negative stuff, understandable we went during spring break which we don’t necessarily have a problem with BUT we paid a decent amount of money for this trip and the resort was OVERUN by drunk spring breakers running about screaming after each other climbing up onto the swim up room pools at night. Running down the hotel room corridors shouting and slamming doors. There were no quiet areas to chill out where there weren’t large groups congregating and shouting shot chants etc etc. kids passed out on the grass at 5am. It got to the point where the hotel was getting multiple complaints and they had a meeting but nothing changed. If you tried to go to the main pool bar good luck, because all the girls would sit there the bar staff were more interested in them 90% of the time so we would sit by the quieter pool. Don’t get me wrong we’re in our 20s and love a drink but toward the end of the holiday it got too much for us personally which is saying a lot. Again I know it’s spring break but the amount we paid for the hotel we would of thought it would of been more adults/families and not a party hotel as it felt like we were in Benidorm not a 5 star hotel in Dominican Republic. Another thing to add is if you pay for the diamond club you are provided a personal butler (not something we were interested in doing) my irritation is how people were talking to them, demanding things with no manners and not being polite to them. As a Brit manners are drilled into most of us and it took biting my tongue a few times with how people would speak/treat some of the staff.

  Our family loved this beautiful resort!

  Our butler, Anthony, was the best! He made our stay over the top, wonderful!
