    Very sick in one of their rooms...stay away !!

    Wife and I stayed at Royal west indies on Jan 11 to jan 17. We got extremely sick on the second day and went for treatment at the local medical clinic and was treated wire IV's and nausea medicine. It didn't help and we were in constant contact by phone with the local doctor. We were restricted to the room all week not being able to eat and/or see any of the amenities of the resort. When we got back to the United States we were diagnosed with Legionaire Disease and hospitalized for 6 days. The States CDC informed us the incubation period was two days..exactly when we got it. I contacted management at Royal west indies and the said they tested...Feb 9th was their testing 20 days later !!! And of course they denied it !! They didn't even have the decency to refund any of our resort money we paid !! Unfortunately the United States told us they have no international jurisdiction. Such a shame they are geared to denying everything with no compassion for a customer to not be able to even enjoy the resort while under mis diagnosis of the local medical facility. What a lousy management policy...just a money grab...My advice is please stay away..maybe that was part of the reason they were cheaper than the real 4 star resorts. You get what you pay for !!!

    Best stay ever!!

    This was an amazing place to stay if you like good customer service, friendly staff, excellent accommodations and a variety of water options..i.e.popls. This is BEFORE you get to the beautiful beach where loungers, towels and umbrellas are INCLUDED. I highly recommend this resort!!!

    Great hotel to stay!

    For those who looking for a clean place, well maintenance, no big luxury and steps from the beach at affordable or less absurd prices, you found it! The hotel staff are very nice, helpful, nothing to complain. The restaurant was very good, the price is normal for the hotel, the pools are small, but they aren't crowded.there no elevator, what was ok for me even at 3th floor. They leaved the luggage for me at room and climb some steps is good for health.

    Go to a real resort not a dollar store version

    What luxury hotel doesn’t have decent WiFi? They couldn’t fix the WiFi after 4 days of trying. Go to a real luxury resort. Skip this one

    No Cancellation Policy

    We are extremely disappointed with our experience booking a stay at the Royal West Indies Resort. The room setup was significantly different from what was described and expected at the time of booking. Key details that would have made a major impact on our decision-especially since we are traveling with elderly parents-were not disclosed beforehand. The room configuration poses serious concerns for our family’s comfort and safety. I reached out to the resort more than four months in advance of our scheduled holiday stay to kindly request a refund or accommodation change, only to be told by the manager, ______________, that despite expecting to be fully booked during the holidays and likely being able to rebook our room, they still refused to offer any flexibility or assistance. Given the resort’s unwillingness to work with us despite having ample notice and a valid reason, we feel completely let down. This experience has left a bad impression, and based on how our situation was handled, we cannot in good faith recommend this resort to anyone-especially those traveling with families or loved ones with special needs.
