    Week at the Royal Lahaina

We recently got back from a week-long stay at the Royal Lahaina. The grounds were beautiful, and the resort had a vintage feel, which I appreciate more than the massive Vegas-style properties along the beach. Upon arrival, we got to our tower room and it was obvious that it had not been thoroughly cleaned. There was litter and change from a previous guest in the closet, and stains on the bedspread. We requested to be moved, and the second room, while cleaner, smelled musty and consistently felt damp. The furniture was very worn and the mattress was uncomfortable. The spa, luau, and nightly music were great. Staff was friendly, but it was clear that they were stretched thin. Overall, the property doesn't live up to its potential.

    View from Room - fabulous

Great view and lovely resources for beach and/or pool use. Food and beverages served poolside. Rooms could use freshing - signs of wear and tear. Otherwise a good place to stay - and woud stay again.

Cleanliness of rooms could be improved.

Room cleanliness was not what we expected. Hallways and room had a musty smell. We had to be switched to a different room due to smell and mold in shower. Second room had a moisture problem and made all our clothes feel wet the entire time we were at hotel. Hotel restaurant food was ok but over priced for quality.

    Love the Royal Lahaina

Always a great time here. Staff is wonderful. Rooms are good. Location is perfect. Kim at front desk went above and beyond for us. We’ve stayed here over 10 times and just love it. Cleaning staff is fantastic. Ford is great too. The lady in the Royal Scoop is so nice.
