I booked the Tower standard room, they are extremely outdated and the bathrooms are pretty gross. I was excited to try this hotel based on reviews i’d seen on social media but don’t believe the hype and stay somewhere else.

Dec 13, 2025Misleading spiteful management
Booked a room at this resort for 4 days! Gina was very misleading and rude when we tried to understand what happened . Well we Used a debit card and was told that if in any case we went over on charges we’d have to pay before we left. I thought in my head duh, 🙄 however on the third day my daughter granddaughter and I were locked out of our room with NO NOTICE. Imagine being locked out of your room with a tired cranky 2 year old over 4,000 miles from home . I had no idea they would charge the resort fees when they felt like it or just decide to lock you out when they feel like it too. To say we went over $95 and that’s why she locked the room is insane when I only spent 12$ today because wasn’t it over YESTERDAY as well?? According to her the system checks everyday but I guess it skipped yesterday. Not to mention this wasn’t our first stay here and this was not mentioned during the other stay either. Everything was charged at the END of the stay but no worries we will not be returning and all our friends family and everyone who will listen will know NOT to book here!!!

A Royal Beauty
A wonderful visit to old Hawaii. The staff extremely friendly, helpful and professional. We had an issue with our room and Royal Lahaina and Gretchen made it up in spades - a shout out to Gretchen. The breakfast was great I would see how one can control the Pigeon problem. Branches was wonderful and magical - please continue Branches. The ocean was wonderful and the facilities were beautiful. One can see the care taken by the current owners to bring this old beauty back in place. The Luau was fantastic and much enjoyed. A shout out to the entertainment and staff. Really a wonderful stay and I cant speak enough of the staff a true OHANA experience - thank you. We stayed 9 nights so we got to know some of the staff. A shout out to Mate- your office is divine.

Bungalow E is just Great
My wife and I have been here before in the Bungalows. Bungalow E is just about 25 feet from the beach and has a total of 6 units. The photos are from our patio. We had a great time again. The last time we were here, we stayed upstairs, so we awoke to the sound of the surf, through an open window. There are many other Bungalows somewhat further from the beach.
