Great hotel and facilities. Right on the beach with lovely ocean views in virtually every room. Good amenities with pools and restaurants. I enjoyed the luau as well. Pools were well kept, but I didn’t use them much because I favored the ocean.

Super place to stay
This place is beautiful. I had an ocean view but when I got there I was upgraded to an oceanfront and man was that view was amazing. The first nice we got there, there was a sea turtle sleeping right out on the beach! Then to watch the whales breaching was incredible. We didn’t go in the pool but it looked very inviting. The restaurant food was delicious. If we ever go back we will definitely stay there again!

The desk clerk put us in a mountain view room when we had reserved and paid for an ocean view room. The manager argued the mountain view was ocean view. We did not reserve even a partial ocean view. The manager told me I should have looked at the pictures on the website. I had done that. This was not my first time in Maui. The desk manager was very rude. The desk clerks should not have assigned us to a mountain view room.

Fave Stay on Maui!!
My 2nd time here - one of my favorite stays on Maui! Staff is friendly, capable and helpful. Location can't be beat - there is a reef just down the beach with wonderful snorkeling! Beautiful views, sparkling clean rooms! Our bungalow was right cross from the Banyan tree courtyard with lovely live music from local artists each night - all we had to do was open the screen door and enjoy! I love love love the Royal Lahaina. Parking is a little pricey and often full so you will end up parking in Luau parking unless you valet. Will probably valet next time as it is only $5 more than self-parking per day. Breakfast buffet is not great so we got some breakfast items in the mini-fridge, that was the only minus I could think of. Made heavy use of the concierge for restaurant and excursion bookings and Lauren did a wonderful job for us! I was too lazy to use the workout room but please note there is one.

What you want in a Hawaiian resort!
Came for our 15th anniversary. Great experience all around. Stayed in the tower but getting an ocean view and being up on the 12th floor might have been better than most of the bungalows. From the moment you walked in you felt relaxed. Staff was friendly, resort was clean, and the food at the Lahaina Noon was fantastic each night we ate there. The performers each night under the lanterned tree was a great end to the night. The resort was in a great location, it was quieter and not a lot of foot traffic like the near by resorts. It was worthy every penny and we will be come back soon. Could not recommend enough.
