Just spent our second visit at Tequilla Royal after a lovely week the previous year. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. Cleanliness: Always clean. The true sign of hard working cleaners is the state of the pool side toilets. This place is spotless. Food: Great choices at all restaurants. Staff: Always friendly and helpful. No constant pressure for tipping. For me, this means larger tips at the end of the week for favourite staff because they have been great all week long. Rooms: Always amazing, my only complaint would be coffee not being topped up.on the mini bar, but i could have raised it to reception if I really wanted. Bars: Good drink sizes and decent stuff. Pools: No fights over sunbeds. Plenty of spares and nicely spaced out.

Another Great Trip
Just getting around to this review. We’ve visited this resort more than a few times and it just gets better. We had such a great time. As always the pools and food were great. I think this is the best kept secret considering the amenities you get compared to price. The resort is not quite on the beach but about a 10 minute walk down a path way. There is a shuttle that goes continuously during the day. I can run there in less than 3 minutes. We really like the layout of the pools and the swim up pool and it is Adults Only. You have access to the Playacar and you Yucatan which is nice for lunch etc. We always visit the playacar for lunch and meet Willie. He’s been there forever and such a nice guy. Jerry (not his real name) is a Customer Service person who is always making sure your trip is going fine. This past trip my wife left her pool bag at home. Once he knew it wasn’t long before she got one. Such a great guy. A few shouts to Dalia, Rey, Tania and Rosie. Veronica, one of our favorites was on vacation this time around. All the staff were very nice and can’t remember all the names. Can’t wait for our next rip.

Excellent nothing more to add
What can I say im well travelled and couldn't fault it. The hotel is clean .Rooms Are spacious .Food is lovely and plentiful. The staff and the animation team work tirelessly to please especially Johnny. Jessica and dan .great hotel loved every min .will hopefully return the same time next year x

Having been to this hotel several times before and after it was renovated we found it just as good. The staff are brilliant from the greeting at Reception to the lads who move the cases, the gardeners and pool staff any staff member you met greeted you. Our”cleaner Alejandro was exceptional, friendly and great at his job we had a towel zoo by the end of the two weeks we wanted to bring him home. The staff in the restaurants were efficient and looked after us special shout out to Jeremiah’s in the main restaurant who went above and beyond. We did find the food in the main buffet was a little disappointing this time it being a bit repetitive. We went to the Bamboo and the Italian which we both enjoyed but the Steak House wasn’t good with meat like rubber. The entertainment staff work hard to keep everyone happy from games to Spanish lessons, foam parties to the shows at night they always have a smile and a word for you. All in all had a brilliant time will be back.

Our favourite hotel so far
We all loved this holiday. We visited in April 2025 for 10 days from the uk, with our 3 teenage sons. The staff were polite, helpful and plenty of staff about. The air conditioned bedrooms are spacious and cleaned daily. The restaurants were good and the main restaurant was well stocked and had plenty of tables/chairs. The sports bar the air con was icy cold in there. Watched the uk premier league football games here. There is a shuttle cart to the beach from the front of the hotel or it is a 10/15 minute walk. The beach is beautiful, plenty of sun beds too. Water sports available on the beach extra cost. Cocktails at the hotel are served with crushed ice, which is very refreshing. The water machines are available on the bar and topped up regularly with bottled water. Mini bar in room well stocked and spirits in optics in the room too. Wildlife roam the complex, they are ok. They didn’t bother us. White and Neon Party are good, coach loads of people to come from sister hotels so it does get very busy, good fun though. Don’t forget to pack clothing to match the party! Entertainment was very good, I loved watching them each night. Local shopping area a short walk from the hotel on the main road. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
