Overall, I had a good stay with some highs and a few areas for improvement. The ambiance of the hotel was great and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed the themed party events — they were fun, energetic, and definitely a highlight of the experience. That said, the bed was quite hard and could be more comfortable. I also wish there were more 24/7 food and drink options available, especially late at night. The neighbors were very noisy and drunk, which made it hard to fully relax. I paid for 30th birthday room décor, but the numbers fell down. When I called the lobby for help, I was told I would need to walk down to get tape and rehang them myself, which was disappointing given that the décor was a paid service. With a few improvements, this could be an even better experience, as the vibe, staff, and events were truly enjoyable.

This is my second time coming to RIU Santa Fe. I was very happy with the resort overall, has tons of activities to do, you will never get bored. I could always find something that I liked to eat at the buffet or the food bars. The service at the swim up bars was great!

Great stay at RIU Santa Fe
I recently stayed at RIU Santa Fe for a birthday trip in January. Due to it not being one of their Palaces, I didn’t have a high expectation from it so nothing surprised me. The food was okay. Breakfast was great though. Initially drinks were not good at all but I just started instructing them to make it the way that I desired. Kind of sucked going up stairs with no elevators but I look at the positive side of things because that gave me a little exercise. The entertainment was great. Service was great. Layout and the VIEW was amazing! I would stay here again with my kids, but just myself I’d come back to stay at the neighboring property.

Good
I’ve stayed at several Riu hotels before, and compared to other Riu properties, this one was disappointing in terms of food. The selection was very limited, especially when it came to meat options, and there was very little seafood available overall. In addition, the lines at the restaurants were extremely long — especially at the steakhouse. The wait times were frustrating and really took away from the overall experience.

Room was great but bed was uncomfortable enjoyed the balcony and was great to be on the main floor as we are older and have some mobility issues. Would definitely like to return.
