Apr 13, 2026Great for US spring breakers only in March or April
Riu Sante Fe - March/April are likely 80 percent spring breaker college students. We liked the resort itself but did find the loud evenings, youth partying in their rooms/hallways all night. We had a few nights of disturbed sleep due to noise. Mattress/bed very comfortable otherwise. No point in changing rooms due to noise as most of the resort had the same demographic. We would return just not in March/Apri or we would stay at the adjoining Palace instead.

So much programming for fun activities. Rooms super clean. Food very good. Our room was on a busy corner which wasn’t ideal but we still were able to sleep well.

Fun time in Cabo
Family spring break trip, with my kids and grandkids, 10 in total. Fabulous time. Great for small children, water park was fantastic. Big slides for the adults, and kid slides for my 2- & 4-year-old. Food was good. Their street tacos were fantastic. We enjoyed the various RIU parties.

unexpected behavior
we stay here for one week vacation and stay in building 6, the room is great and clean, food&drinks are great in general , such a big resort and managed very well and clean . but mostly we won't return due to something "unexpected" observation . this is outstanding surprised me on April 7th, While waiting in line at the restaurant Steak house for dinner, people line up from 5pm even the restaurant open at 6pm and I was in line started at 5:30pm which kind of late , then I was told by the girl who basically assigns the time and seat for customers, I was told is full now but you can come back after 7pm (fine to me and she reserved by her writing on her sheet), then I come back at 7pm as she told us , when I was there at 7pm , basically there should long gone for the seats for the night , but one group of people came over and had conversation with her ,I clearly heard their conversation: she first said sorry no seat but right after the customer laid $20 on her little desk then she gave them a seat and same time with me to got into the restaurant ! I discovered that the front desk staffs were charging people for seating them instead of waiting in line, I was line up there 5:30pm to get the seat and some other people who has no chance even get in at 7pm but just give $ then get a seat!! I went to the front lobby and like to report this to night shift manager but i was told that the manager was off that day. this is extremely unfair to those customers who never got the chance to seat into the restaurant even they were lineup ahead of the time ! unacceptable behavior!. but at end, I would say this big resort in general management is well done ~ this case just bias by employees personnel behavior which should caused high attention from the leaderships.

Nice selection of restaurants and resort and rooms up to date and clean. Was definitely busier than other Riu Resorts as a lot more spring break attendees.
