You truly get more than you pay for here! Every time I think about trying a different resort, I end up coming back. I’ve stayed at this property five times now, and it never disappoints. They’ve finally fixed the room key issue, which makes the stay even better. The fish and chicken are always delicious, and the whole place has an amazing, welcoming vibe.

Had a great time. Beach was awesome, rooms were clean and food was amazing. Staff was always available and helpful

Staff were great, food and drink great. The overall appearance was ok you look closer and there was missing tiles in the pool, grout missing. Was definitely not a 5* paid a lot of money only to be dissapointed.

Dec 03, 2025Dated rooms, cold water, and zero customer service
I used to be loyal to Riu, but this stay at Riu Republica changed my mind. The rooms are dated, and the service was lackluster—if you don't tip upfront at meals, don't expect much attention. We had no hot water one day (with zero communication from the hotel about it), and the hot tub was cold. When I pointed this out, the staff didn't care. Worst of all, I left an item behind and have been trying to contact them to get it back, but they are ignoring my messages. It’s clear they don’t care about the guest experience once you’ve checked out. I won't be back.

Perfect Stay
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful. The food was amazing. The activities every night were full of fun! I totally recommend it
