Feb 26, 2026Fun Hotel
One word to describe this hotel PARTY TIME!! Food was great as is usual in Jamaica, the main pool scene was full on energy. The beach was nice although a little small. When your're bored you can wander over to the large sister Riu property - that place is even louder and its huge! The hotel is only 5 minutes from the airport. The only negative is the non stop planes flying overhead - but you get used to it and the music is lso oud you barely notice.

Paid for partial ocean view, got pool view. Bar service inconsistent, buffet food not replaced. Not a 5-star experience.

We found a cockroach 🪳 in our room, here on a very special family trip. We were devastated. Went to the manager and asked to be moved (resort they said was full) but offered to move us right next door to the same room that the cockroach was in?) or spray toxic spray in our room and sleep in it like really guys come on.! They did nothing to really accommodate or compensate us. In my opinion very very disappointing. For a five star resort there should not be cockroaches and if cockroaches are found you should be provided in my opinion a room upgrade to a nicer room for compensation for finding a cockroach as a guest. Felt like they didn’t take it seriously I took a picture and brought it to them. We were all very upset. Don’t feel management took it seriously at all and didn’t move us. They said they might be able to move us tomorrow to rooms without an ocean view? Like really come on not impressed. I will never visit here again nor will I ever recommend this place to anybody ..,,do not come!

Don’t go there
Appalling. The Buffet is the worst mishmash of food I’ve ever seen or tasted. Ask for mushrooms midway during breakfast service and you’re told it’s finished !! Try booking a restaurant and see there are no reservations and to close window. Want a kettle ? Pay $20 at reception to get one (refunded after stay) want extra water ? Ask at reception, want a restaurant reservation? Download RIU App to get that. The staff here are great but if you like good food and good wine ( all inclusive) Forget it, only vinegar house wine/ beer served at lunch or dinner. Whoever wrote reviews praising the food have never stayed in a 4/5 * resort in their lives.

Overall, this was a very nice hotel unfortunately our weather was not very good at all. We had a lot of rain at high winds. One of the unfortunate thingsfor the hotel is they did not have a Plan B for the guests very much driven by sunny Weather hotel not enough seating inside food overall was very good. The real big mansion is for the staff throughout the whole of the complex very polite very helpful probably the best staff in any hotel I think I’ve ever visited so without doubt a special mention to all of the staff no matter where they worked whether they were the housemaid whether they were on reception where they worked in the bars all the restaurants or the entertainment they were all absolutely fantastic.
