My sister and I stayed here for 4 nights 9th-13th January. I could not fault the hotel it was spotlessly clean. We were on the 14th floor but there were 5 lifts so you didnt wait. The lifts are really fast so you don’t take long to reach your allocated floor. We had a king sized bed and there was plenty of room for the two of us. The bathroom had a walk in shower and they would change the towels everyday if you asked. We paid for breakfast and we weren’t disappointed. The breakfast was buffet style and you never left hungry. There was all sorts of food and hot drinks. We always filled up and it lasted us all day. One tip we went for breakfast really early as it gets busy around 08.00am. All the staff were very helpful and when we left they even organised a taxi to take us to the airport. I would definitely stay here again as it was on Times Square so was close to shops. We took a picture of where our room was but at night it was an amazing sight with all the lights.

Great location
Hotel was clean and in great location , was disappointed with the breakfast and only had that once as food was cold and most trays empty , the tables were so squashed together you struggled to be able to sit at the tables

Great hotel right in the heart of NYC
Just come back from a 5 night stay at the Riu plaza Times Square Let me start by saying that we have stayed in NYC 5 times previously and this is by far our favourite hotel, I got a real good price booking direct with Riu and during the booking process I requested a high floor room which we got. Upon arrival at the hotel around 5pm I took my place in the Riu Class line, with only one guest in front of me at the desk getting booked in but I stood in that line for around 25 minutes before being booked in, there were people in the other line getting booked in much quicker than I was, I was a little peeved at the amount of time it took but once we were checked in we went up to our room. The room was very nice, a nice walk in shower and bathroom area with frosted glass doors, the bed was huge and very comfy. The room was on the 24th floor and a corner room so we had 3 large windows which let tons of light during the day and felt very spacious, the views were also very good !! The room came with a decent size fridge which we used to keep milk in as I had brought my own travel kettle, you get a coffee maker in the room but being from the UK, we like to have a cuppa ! We got fresh towels when requested and the bedding changed twice during our stay. We didn’t have any issue with noise from other guests or from the street below, sure you can hear sirens but overall it was fairly quiet. Now onto the breakfast, We usually got down to breakfast between 7.00 and 7.30, we never had to queue and it was easy to get seated and wasn’t too busy, the food was good and set you up for the day, lots of hot and cold choices to choose from, teas, coffee, fruit juice etc. The location of the hotel is spot on, 8th Avenue, just a block from Times Square and lots of places to eat nearby. Hell’s Kitchen is one of my most favourite areas of NYC. We got the air train and subway from JFK and it was so easy, get off at 50th and 8th with a 5 minute walk to the hotel. Overall we thought this hotel was fab, all of the staff we came across were all helpful, polite and courteous. Would we stay here again ?…. Absolutely !!!! Thank you Riu

The hotel is in a good location and the rooms are decent. Service was fine, though there is room for improvement in cleanliness and facilities. Overall, an average stay.
