    Horrific Staff and Zero Customer Care

    We arrived Friday March 14th, 25 at 7 pm to find that our 4 night stay had not been paid for. I dealt with a horrible shift manager, who would not accept any proof of payment, (we had all receipts), or help in anyway. I had to call our holiday rep for help. From 7 pm to 11 pm our holiday rep argued back and forth with this man, on my phone, as she couldn't get through to the Hotel. She offered all receipts of confirmation of payment, he wasn't interested. She offered to pay on our behalf with their company card, he would not accept, he wanted a physical card. We were left sitting in the lobby while staff stared and laughed at us. I've never had this experience with any hotel. Since my child was falling asleep I asked what I could do to get us into a room until the issue could be resolved. Long story short, I had to pay once again for our 4 night stay, over $1200. On Monday the issue was resolved, when the hotel reservation team came back on duty. Turns out they were to blame for the none payment. I received no apology from the hotel, no gesture of goodwill, nothing! I would advise this Hotel to retrain your staff, they are horrible, and would be fired from any other Hotel. I would advise you to have a 24 hour reservations team, as they clearly are responsible for booking errors. To make the customer pay again for your reservation teams mistakes is completely unacceptable. There is no excuse for the horrible way my daughter and I were treated, it's unforgiveable. So pleased this Hotel can keep an Online Reputations Manager employed, way to go on your priorities. I certainly hope you do your job, or are you some bot trained to copy and paste standard replies. Anyway, awful experience, horrible staff. DO BETTER AND PRIORITISE YOUR CUSTOMER.

    Excellent stay at Riu plaza Times Square

    Hotel was clean, comfy, friendly staff, breakfast was brilliant with lots of choice, rooms immaculate and comfortable would defo come back

    Our stay

    Very nice hotel. Breakfast was really good. Rooms and views from room were good. Staff was excellent and the location was outstanding.

    30th Birthday

    Great hotel, staff are lovely Bruno was nice checking me and my mum in. He always had a smile on his face. Cleaners always said hello when we saw each other when heading to lift. They accommodated me with my fussy eating habits.

    St Patrick’s Day Visit

    Stayed at the Rui Plaza for 5 nights during St Patrick’s day and thought the hotel was excellent.I had requested a room on a high floor and upon arrival was allocated a room on the 27th floor.The view of Times Square and surrounding area was fantastic and the room although not huge was adequate for our needs with my gripe being there wasn’t a lot of space for our cases so we left them open on the floor but still managed to manoeuvre around the room with no problems.We never seemed to queue for breakfast although there were quite large queues at times we always seemed to avoid them.The food was excellent and there was something for everyone and we stopped in the bar one evening when returning from a night out and the drinks were excellent and very reasonable for New York.Would definitely stay here again on a return trip to NYC and the fabulous location (yards from Times Square & Hells Kitchen) was perfect for our needs sightseeing around Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs
