  Couple quick getway and adding nights for continued status.

  Not our first visit to RIU London Victoria, or other RIU Hotels. We go for the rooms high up with a view, which have so far been looking south towards Battersea, HofP ETC. Great views, room clean, cool and practical, great walking shows and bright lighting. Morning, we get breakfast go down to the lifts the opposite end to the entrance down to floor G - Self-serve. Lots of salad and smoked salmon I think every other day, with loads of cheese. Full English breakfast is available Staff always friendly and welcoming. They are happy to store your bags if you are early pre-check-in, or post-checkout, off you go explore more and come back off home. We also used the hotel for a few nights, before staying at another local hotel to use our points and walk with the suitcases etc. This is a fairly new hotel , developed by RIU from the ground up, from what I understand. They do have a few rooms, with no views. Check out the reviews if you want a bargin.

  Lovely hotel a stone’s throw from Victoria

  This hotel is a stone’s throw from Victoria Railway Station and Underground. Handy for arriving on the Gatwick Express, for onward travel around London and for the M&S, Boots and other shops for any provisions needed. It is a new hotel and all its features feel very clean and modern. I was given an early check in. My deluxe double (the most basic room) was more than adequate for a few nights’ solo stay in the capital. Although located on a very busy road, no traffic noise can be heard in the rooms. There is a huge area for breakfast and a vast buffet, including things I enjoy such as yoghurt made with muesli. No smoothies, though. The staff I met all seemed lovely and, when I did have a small problem with something, they attended to it in the blink of an eye. I am booked to stay at a different London hotel later in the year but plan to swap to this one. Highly recommended.

  Lovely stay

  One night stay for husbands 50th birthday . Lovely room comfy bed fantastic shower. Breakfast was nice very busy but plenty of choice . Did ask if hotel could do something special for birthday eg balloons however was told sorry they couldn’t but on arrival room had been upgraded and a small selection of London tea was left as a gift so Thankyou we have stayed in a few RIU hotels mainly Cape Verde and they are always lovely highly recommend

  First time in this hotel

  Stayed 1 night at start of a longer trip and this location was easy to get to Gatwick from. First time in a RIU hotel but it was really good. Upgraded room and it was really modern, clean and comfortable. Location was great. Breakfast was great. Busy but service was great and quality was good. Staff were all great too. Will definitely be back and will stay in this hotel and use this chain again.

  Great to have a Riu Hotel in London

  We often stay at the Riu Palace Maspalomas when we visit Gran Canaria and decided to give the Plaza a try as a Riu Class member. It exceeded our expectations as the hotel has a lovely modern spacious feel rather than some of the boxy London chains. The room on the 10th floor had great views of the city, comfy bed, walk in shower etc. A card clearly explains that the tap water is safe to drink and we prefer this arrangement to plastic bottles and environmental waste. Also I have more slippers than I know what to do with and we always bring a pair with us! Robes are good but only if there is a spa and there isn’t so again no need to supply. The breakfast was excellent and the quality of the food and range was very good. Easier check in and check out and superb location for theatre land and all London sights, the area around the station has also improved compared to what it was like in the 1980s and 1990s. Finally lovely friendly staff, excellent housekeeping and a great addition to London
