    Just okay

    Came here for a work conference. Room wasn’t ready so we hung out in the lobby. No outlets to plug in computers or devices. Service was good at the lobby bar but absolutely no outside food or beverages- my husband bought me an iced coffee from Starbucks one day and they kicked him out of the lobby. Drinks are exactly the same in the lobby bar vs upstairs but upstairs is much more expensive. Conference was strange- our room on the second day was super hot and they didn’t have enough chairs or tables for everyone to sit at. My husband and I had A room with two twin beds- fine but I wish They put single people in those rooms. Rooms were clean though and the location was perfect.

    Another stay at RIU that met my expectations

    Every time I travel to Madrid I sta at RIU. The location is very central and the customer service is excellent. All staff are very accommodating. Cleanliness is very important and this is a priority to RIU. I really enjoyed my stay.

    A good hotel in Madrid center

    The Riu hotel is on the plaza de España, a few meters from the metro station, easily accessible from the airport and main locations. The hotel is modern and the (deluxe) room was big, quiet and convenient. Breakfast was better than in most similar hotels. Although it's a big hotel, there are staff at every point, guessing what you need before you ask. We arrived a bit early, stored the suitcases and went for a walk, and when the room was ready they emailed us. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

    Excellent

    Nice and spacy room with exceptional views of Madrid city. Hotel Lobby is amazing and the receptionists are so nice and professional. The lobby bar is also fantastic where we spent almost half day there for drinks and watched the streets in a rainy day of Madrid. The bar staff named Yoseff (I may not type it correctly) who was so nice and helpful (my thanks to him). As it was cold and rainny day when we stayed in the hotel so I could not find out the wonder of the top terrace that would be for our next trip in warm weather. Very excited to stay again in RIU Plaza Espana again soon

    my birthday

    hola,thank you very much for looking after us ,we don,t normally stay in big hotels.but i remember this hotel from years ago.i never thought we would stay one day ,also thank you for the up grade,we will recomend this hotel
