Simply the best hotel
We come here every year and the food and service is quite outstanding. Unfortunately the weather was not quite as reliable as RIU…..

Top of the best in Playa del Inglés
Excellent service and friendly staff. Breakfast and dinner buffé was almost to much to chose from, but no complains at all. Made a visit together with my mother. End february to mid march.

Restful holiday
Lovely hotel food was amazing. Staff were really helpful. Only thing for us was no where to really walk in the evenings very residential area.

Great potential, but some aspects need improvement
Having just returned from my stay, I would like to share my experience at this hotel. I am writing these comments in a constructive spirit, as I have had the opportunity to stay in several hotels of the same category. The location is certainly one of the hotel’s main strengths: it is situated directly opposite the dunes and very close to Playa del Inglés, as well as to the main shopping centres of Maspalomas. The cleanliness of the common areas is excellent — perhaps even too much so, considering that the floors are polished to the point of being almost slippery. The garden with the swimming pool and the bar terrace are also very pleasant. I also appreciated the attention given to guests with reduced mobility, who are provided with tables close to the buffet area. However, other aspects did not meet the expectations one might have for a hotel of this category. The staff is generally polite, but often appears rather distant and not particularly attentive. Dinner was probably the biggest disappointment. The selection of dishes is wide, but extremely standardised and lacking local character. In a hotel in the Canary Islands I would have expected a more significant presence of local cuisine, whereas most of the options were international dishes such as hamburgers, sushi or sweet and sour pork. Local specialities were practically absent, apart from a small selection of local cheese. In addition, the service was not always efficient: on one occasion I waited a long time without being able to order a drink, and there were even no cutlery on the table. Housekeeping in the room was overall acceptable, but not flawless: the soap dispenser in the shower remained empty for three days. Another unpleasant aspect was the management of the sunbeds by the pool. Early in the morning many sunbeds were already “reserved” with towels, yet remained unused for a long time. During my stay I did not see any intervention by the staff to manage this situation. A further observation concerns access to the room floors. The entrance used to reach the rooms is separate from the reception area, and there does not appear to be any control over who can access the corridors. During my stay the temperatures were not particularly high, and many areas of the hotel felt rather cold. Since there is no heating and several spaces are outdoors — such as the bar where evening shows take place — the heating lamps were not sufficient to make the environment comfortable. Considering the extraordinary location of the property, it is a pity that some aspects of the organisation and service are not fully in line with what one would expect from a five-star hotel.

Great stay
Beautiful hotel with great services. We enjoyed our stay, and the Riu Party was a highlight. The room was cleaned to a high standard. We had a few massages and the experience was mixed though. The one given by Sven was good but not so good other times. The food at the buffet restaurant was outstanding. The food at the Krystal restaurant was ok, but nothing special.
