Good but not how it used to be
Top hotel but needs to keep its standards up for a 5 star hotel. Dress code for evening meal - beach shorts , base ball caps, football shirts , women in barely covered bodies looking like just from the beach- really ?!!! We have been coming to this hotel for over 12 years . Each year something slips now. Dress shorts for men at evening meal is acceptable but not beach shorts ! Sunbeds are now very uncomfortable no padded cushions as in the past which for us is a must . The 4 poster bed idea nobody hardly uses them so why have them ? The sunbeds now need a good power wash all going yellow where the feet go on every sunbed not good to see . No Prosecco on arrival Al which was a lovely touch after travelling a long way . Relax was the vibe you are now in holiday - GONE. The food is now very predictable plus cold a lot of times when it should be hot . They have the facility to keep it hot but don’t. The bacon well who eats it it’s dreadful plus the fried eggs oh dear me …. The hotels grande and imposing the rooms great and beds comfortable. The entertainment whilst repetitive is of a high standard and yes finishes at 10.30 pm but that’s ok the bars are still open . Many do want to sleep early not everyone is a party animal however the white night and neon nights are brilliantly organised. The team at the hotel has seen some changes but some of the old guard still remain and they are lovely plus the new waiter Jesus a star in the making there. Pools are great and grounds well maintained . Just need to stop taking away and looking to give more after all it’s 5 star you are looking for something g more not just the norm . Moving with the tunes it may appear but for me in the wrong direction. Sorry 4th of 5 this time riu

A bit disappointing
We have stayed at this hotel several times. It is a great location overlooking the Dunes but close enough to walk to the Yumbo Centre or Maspalomas Beach area. The rooms are quite large and very comfortable and the public areas are also very comfortable. Plenty of space around the two pools with plenty of sun beds but while we were there a lot of sun beds were taken with towels by 7:00 and never occupied until much later. The evening entertainment is good quality although some of it starts quite early. The buffet food is very good with plenty of options to choose from but you do get people wandering around not knowing what they are looking for or where they are going which can be a problem. As with any buffet style food it was never very hot. The two al a carte restaurants are definitely worth checking out but you must book. The disappointment for us was we didn’t get one of the rooms we requested. Despite booking months in advance and emailing the hotel a couple of times with our request we never got any of the rooms we asked for. Staff are extremely friendly. This hotel is quite expensive compared to many others in Playa de Ingles and I am not sure it is now worth the extra money.

Beautiful hotel..
This hotel is in a class of its own. The rooms, the food, the outdoor area with pools are absolutely excellent and the hotel is also fantastically located by the dunes and the sea. Everything is clean and nice and the food is in a class of its own. The hotel is located on a 6 km beach promenade and has its own fitness area.
