    I really enjoyed my stay at Rui Ochi and have every intention to return. My only complaint is that some of the staff were far from friendly which I found off putting. They were in the minority though.

    Great Trip

    Rooms where lovely. We booked a direct and had a standard room but was upgraded to a Jr. Suite. Crystal at front desk made sure all rooms were close together. Food was outstanding at the snack bar and buffet. Lots to choose. Some days I fent it was the same as the day before but other days they did add in a few new options. The entertainment during the day was good and at night was great, always something going on. I have young kids so I am in bed earlish but I did see some and it was fun to watch. You could always find a beach chair or one by the pool. Bar service was exceptional. They have lots of staff and the hotel is kept immaculate at all times. Everyone is friendly. I did Yoga each morning with Charles and his partner Reggie (sp). They are wonderful humans and made the trip extra special. Few things I would call out: A la carte restaurants are not better or much different then the buffet. But buffet has outdoor seating and lots to choose from. So don't fuss yourself trying to book these. Kids club surprised me. Its VERY loud in there and chaotic at times. Ladies were lovely but they aren't doing much other than some coloring and blasting music - and not their fault BUT the hours are wack: 9AM - 5PM closed 12-3PM! Everyday. Water park is also closed every Tuesday. Note: On the kids side, no bar and no drinks whatsoever allowed in the waterpark. Know this is an amazing hotel with lots of pluses - just a few things like the al la cartes, kids club, and lack of a cafe or cocktail bar I found to be missing. Perhaps these things are at the "Palace" locations - I'll look at those next time :)

    POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

    Have emailed the hotel twice directly to enquire about amending a booking, tried 2 different email addresses as advised by RIU, hotel have never responded. If pre booking service is so bad, dread to think what it is like once a booking is made.

    Jamaica 2025 for Intimate Concert

    RIU was a lovely hotel. Just need to tidy up a few details. The meals, pool, beach and night concerts were lovely.
