Feb 25, 2026Beautiful Grounds, Fantastic Staff
We stayed as a group for our friends wedding, throughout the fortnight there was 11 of us at maximum. It is a beautiful hotel. The grounds are gorgeous, there are so many coatis, deer, birds, a few iguanas and a rare monkey or two. The rooms are clean and the shower was hot and powerful. We were two people in a room with bunk beds and I think if that were a family room it was a little snug. The balcony only had one chair, but, we requested one before we went for dinner and by the time we returned to the room another had been placed, so that can only be commended for the service. The food is good, not brilliant, but good. The buffet is fresh and varied but just not out of this world. The speciality restaurants are a little disappointing. Buffet style starter and dessert and à la carte main. The service is extremely good! Arnold and the entertainment team are so hard working and friendly with everyone - they put on a show one evening and it was brilliant! A special mention to Blanca who works behind the bar throughout the day, she is an angel and the bar staff at night are very fun and friendly. Everyone that works in the hotel smile, say hello and make you feel really welcome Having the bus to the beach was actually great because it felt like a day trip, even though it’s still part of the hotel and everything is included. They come every 30mins and it takes 15mins, there are plenty beds, a small fresh water pool incase the sea isn’t for you, but, the sea and sand are just paradise. I would 100% recommend the Riu Lupita for a chilled, clean, family stay. I loved it.

Feb 14, 2026ABSOLUTE BEST!! Will only stay with RIU!
First time staying at RIU Lupita- got the feeling that because it wasn't on the beach it was 'lesser ABSOLUTELY NOT- We had such a great time..the second we arrived Raquel at the front desk took us directly to the buffet while she took care of the check in..Raquel went above and beyond in terms of service.I cannot say enough about her. Bus service to the beach was always on time and the bus drivers were always happy,friendly, and professional. Beach was beautiful , never had to wait to get a lounge chair, it was great! Food on the buffet was always excellent , the Italian and Mexican restaurants were great as well. Could not get a spot at the steak house, but that's a minor quibble. The activity team worked so hard. Entertainment etc. was really good and the enthusiasm of the activity team never wavered. Bus transport to the neon party really well organized. Lets put it to you this way-I will only stay at RIU in Mexico- and I would definitely stay at Riu Lupita again.. Minor feedback? The pool could have been warmer, and the servers in the Italian and Mexican could be a bit more 'polished' [ but even saying that , they were all exceptionally friendly and hard working] All in all a memorable stay.

RUI Lupita 63rd Birthday 2026 Playa Del Carmen, Mx
We arrive on Saturday 3 Jan 2026 to celebrate my birthday weekend which is on 4 Jan 2026 Sunday. From time we arrived to RUI Lupita All exclusive Resort Hotel we were welcome with a drink, check in was so easy and soothe. Escorted to our room which was on the four floor, great view of pool and jungle. It’s ok there was no elevator. The room was nice a spacious, large walk in shower, refrigerator was shock with free drinks and beer. The cabinet above was shock with 4/5 different liquors which was free to drink. We settle in refresh up and out for look around and to get dinner, we where escorted to where you could get snacks, bar, buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. Where gym, and DJ Pacha Disco room, where to get streak dinner. Hours of open and close. Transport to beach. Dinner buffet was amazing, seafood and all the others meats available. Food was Excellent and amazing both for breakfast and, lunch and dinner. The bar was outstanding. My favorite was the Ocean Azul.

I was my third visit at the Lupita in one year but this time my stay was not as pleasant as before because of dishonest front desk staff. Everything else was good from the entrainment team, my chamber maid and all the servers

Dissapointing demotivated staff.
Stayed here for 18 nights our second visit . We were dissapointed with several things. The Animation team seem to be going through the motions ping pong morning noon and night. Six tots on the stage at 8.30 pm for an hour singing kids songs and watching cartoons the whole hotel held to ransom. The reception staff very abrupt costs nothing to smile. Also beware the place is full of rude French Canadians who refuse to integrate with anyone else.They have there own animation team. Don't go if you have a bad back the shuttle bus will finish you off going to the beach. The bar staff apart from Blanca don't ask what you would like they just nod at you in an aggressive way. The place is running wick with long tail animals they literally jump on tables to get at your drinks/ food. Dozens of them.
