Could have been a 5 but the food ONG was awful
Hotel is beautiful The grounds were fantastic Room was beautiful Very, very clean hotel Service was great especially if you tip but not enough servers Food Practically the same food every day in the buffet Quality not good - overcooked pasta and no pasta to order Overcooked meat Salad bar was horrible - too much mayonnaise on salads Canned asparagus - yuck Tasteless tomatoes unless you get the tomatoes that are intended for the burgers Horrible hamburgers Pepe’s needs an overhaul Meat is cut too thin so a veal schnitzel is actually more breading than anything else Not enough chefs manning the different stations so they were always behind on making more food available Fried food was too oily Don’t try the Japanese restaurant; it is a buffet and the food is inedible (we actually walked out and had to go to the regular buffet for our dinner) It tells you something when you lose weight while on vacation. It is possible to cook tasty food while on a budget. RIU just needs to figure out how to do that

Hut or miss
Although this is Riu Latino the customer service was hit or miss with noticeable preference to serve the non-Latinos. Not all super friendly or with great attitudes. Breakfast was not great. Drinks were just okay. I can't say I would recommend this chain.

Almost a 5 star experience
The airport transport needs better organization. Other than that, I found the entire visit to be very pleasant. The staff show their love of jobs. They are extremely professional. Never found a time when I couldn’t find someone good to eat. Loved the chicken bbq at the pool. This resort could be a full 5 star experience should it adopt a few policies and practices. I would recommend anyone who wants a good vacation in the cancun area to visit this Rui.

Go!!!!! Do not hesitate to!
I was so excited to write this review I had to before even leaving the resort! Traveled with 2 adult daughters in their early 20’s and my husband. We have been to Mexico no less than 30 times. Needless to say we have seen it all. 1- you will not find a cleaner resort. 2-you will not find friendlier or accommodating staff! 3-Excellent food. Best poolside food ever! BBQ Chicken, tacos, burgers fries, nachos , salad, fruit…. 4- Did not feel policed! Could carry foot anywhere. Did not need to check in at the buffet. No dress code or check in at pool restaurant. 5-Poolside drink cart service 6- Beach drink service 7- Blue absolutely pristine ocean and beach. 8-So many pool and beach chairs you were not compelled to get up early to save a seat! 9-Lastly, my daughters, who have been to Mexico since they were babies said this was the best resort they had ever been to for all the reasons listed above! Now That’s a stamp of approval! Do not hesitate booking. Enjoy!

Great food and facilities!
Chairs were always available at the pools and the beach. Great service at restaurants and buffet. Nice beach and water and beverages served on the beach as well as at the pools.
