Our family had a fantastic week at this resort. Would recommend to anyone. We found all the staff kind and inviting from the moment we arrived. We spent 7 days here and could have easily spent another 7. The food was good, the pools and pool area's were nice! Some people complain about the modern renovations but we really appreciated the aesthetic and the way they maintained that tropical feeling while giving the place an update. For the price, we feel we got a great value for what we spent. The beach of course is amazing here and we spent a lot of time on the beach and in the sea itself. Lots of loungers and places to put your stuff down for the day and settle in. Our room itself was very nice. Beds were nice, room a was a good size with a great view. The bathroom was amazing including the shower. Noise level was loud if someone was in the hallways being obnoxious, but for the most part once in your room you couldn't hear anything happening outside no matter how big the party was. Our biggest thing we mentioned to each other a lot was how clean it was. Everyone is always cleaning and the bathrooms in particular are always being cleaned. Really nice to see them take the time to clean so much. We didn't go to a single a la carte restaurant. We never do. It's always a gong show and rarely worth the effort, so I can't comment on that at all. At this hotel you can walk to Bucerias down the beach in 45 minutes or take a 10 minute taxi which is great. Puerto Vallarta isn't too far away either so it's an easy trip into town. We would absolutely go here again and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks for the great time guys!

Riu Jalisco
We have stayed at the Riu Jalisco 20 plus times and seen 3 renovations. This latest is by far the nicest but missed the water fountains. The new pools are very nice. Noticed the children’s pool was always empty as the kids filled every other pool. Why not make one of the smaller pools a quieter pool for adults who prefer to relax without the joys of screaming children. We have been to many Riu and found the adult only a little too quiet. The food as exceptional as aways. There was a hiccup with our room but was corrected without too much hassle. The bar staff were amazing and Marco even remembered us from the Riu Palace last year. The lobby bar was incredible , a beautiful renovation. All in all returning to the Riu Jalisco was a pleasant experience.

Great resort
This was an awesome resort. Food was amazing. My only complaint is that you have to stand in line for the à la carte restaurants before they open at 6 and then pick a time if you can’t get in right away. Most places have a reservation system. Other than that we really enjoyed ourselves. The staff were friendly. Rooms were always cleaned nicely.

Riu Jalisco
The hotel was great, food at the buffet was good. Lots of chairs at the pools. Rooms were very nice. There were 12 of us and the hotel staff were great to deal with.

We enjoyed the hotel, especially our kids! The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The kid pool was a lot of fun for the kids, although I do wish there was someone there to watch because there are parents that don’t watch over their kids, especially older kids and I didn’t appreciate them running up the slides and landing on much younger kids. Otherwise it was great, there is a new addition of the ice cream shop so you no longer have to go into the buffet to get it. The ice cream is really yum and creamy, their soft serve also has great flavor and texture. The steakhouse was the best dinner we had, unfortunately they do not accept reservations so you do need to be there at opening to get on the waitlist. If you get in, I highly recommend ordering the chimichurri with your steak, it’s amazing! We sent a person from our group at 5:45pm to get in line and get the reservation, then they came back to the room to get ready. For a group of 18, although at different tables, we were able to get on the waitlist for 7:30pm.
