So good to be back and see the latest renovations! Also....the best to see familiar faces still working there and catching up. A few names to give a shout out to: Salvador - Chipotle Buffet - PM Mayra - Italian restaurant server Jackie - Italian restaurant hostess.....remembered us and stopped by the table to say HI Pillo - Lobby/Sports bar Aracilly - Lobby bar Andres - Sports bar Aldahir - Lobby bar Liliana - Lobby bar We so look forward to coming back soon for another visit! Pool deck & area was very slippery I seen lots of people slipping and some falling The steps into the pool need to have grip strips attached to the steps to prevent slipping Also disappointed lots of palm trees were removed from beach area - lack of shade now

We have been at this resort since it first opened many years ago. At that time it had a Mexican atmosphere and was much loved. Now this resort has had a second renovation and it does look like a brand new resort. Now it looks and feels very sterile, no charm but it is new, with new rooms, restaurants , buildings, pools and even the beach looks different. They trimmed down all the beautiful palm trees so that there is no longer any shade. The grounds used to look very park-like and now there are barely any shrubs. The staff and service remains the same.

Great winter getaway
Lovely facility, large 820 rooms…but easy to get around. Lots of loungers…options for both sun and shade. Great beach front. Rooms very spacious (family room ..king bed, shower (no tub), lots of closet space, in room bar fridge stocked, and also tequila, rum, gin, vodka alcohol dispensers; hair dryer adequate.) did not need converters for chargers, etc. Staff friendly and helpful - especially the cheerful senora at the egg station. You cannot make reservations for the a La carte restaurants, which seems inefficient, but somehow works. Concierge was always helpful when we had any questions. Overall, we had a great time and would go back.

Great stay !!!!
It was fabulous! One of the best trip ever! And we are picky. The staff is always cleaning all the time they take good care of the premises and are seem proud to be working at RIU Jalisco. Always in a good mood and ready to help. One down side the lineup for the A la Carte supper did not make any sense … the way the reservation works is inappropriate and should be revised ! If you enjoy the sun, beach, pool you cannot go at the A la carte supper… people would leave at 4 to get prepared and wait in line …. Not being even sure they would eat tha night …
