Dec 14, 2025Clean resort, but probably won't return
The staff and management did a great job. The facility was very clean - staff were busy cleaning everywhere we went. Most of the staff were smiling, friendly and accommodating. Our bed was too soft, so my back hurt each morning. The hotel/airport transfers were problematic and too few restaurant choices for the size of resort. We were a little bored by the entertainment. Aside from that - can't complain.

Truthfully I would not go back to the resort. The entertainment was awful and geared more towards Americans than actually embracing the Mexican culture. The parties they throw are boring and many people where walking away after about a hour of being there. The cleaning was awful sometimes leaving dishes in my room after a cleaning was done. While they don’t tell you that ur fridge is replenished every 2 days I was there for 9 days and only had it refilled once (the day before I left) and because I had to go downstairs and ask, With an attitude they put the request in to have it filled. The bar service was great (Adriano, Rene and Jesus) knew how to make drinks and tried to make the entertainment good. The food was mediocre but our waitress Erika was phenomenal she truly made our experience there more enjoyable and we loved seeing her every morning for breakfast and lunch time with her big smile and excellent customer service. She is a real asset to Riu. Overall would not return to Riu.

I had a great stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed every part of my visit. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help with any questions. The location was very convenient, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was calm and welcoming. Everything was well organized, and it was clear that the hotel cares about its guests’ comfort. I would definitely stay here again and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and relaxing stay.

Traveled with a group of six . Had a wonderful time . Big shout out to Addy from the dinner buffet she was absolutely amazing. She made our dinners awesome . Property was beautiful. To all the people that work there thank you . You guys are always working so hard.

Great Family Resort
This property does the BIG things very well - facilities maintenance, well kept beaches & pools, good food, great trained staff, clean & comfortable rooms, great bars & plenty of them, and solid entertainment. Greatness comes from focus on the LITTLE things - coffee carafes & wine on the tables, no reservations to dine, no waits for seating & no upselling wine. They make it better by removing the potential pinch points. Very difficult for such a large resort but well done. Two things to improve 1) Gym not large enough or to standards, & 2) Full size beds should be American Queen standard. Otherwise, we'll be back. Not often said after a decade of Cancun travel!
