An honest review, this hotel is fantastic from the location,the rooms,the bars,and restaurants .All staff go above and beyond to be helpful and all ways polite . If there is a criticism the Spanish who come for the weekend can be overwhelming but it is their country

Feb 06, 2026DON'T STAY THERE IN 1-WORD TERRIBLE HOTEL.
This is probably the worst choice we have done ever. The total stay from 23 Dec. 2025 to 26 Jan. 2026 was in 1-word terrible and disappointing! This 4* hotel doesn't meet in all expectations or the European Hotel Classification. In all departments from the reception to the restaurant, quality and price. Rude, unfriendly staff, cold buffet food in a low standard (I was sick for some days) and although I reserved for an expensive room and were changed to a cheaper one, they forced me to sign a document not to ask for a refund on my total long reservation. This is a matter of theft! DON'T STAY THERE! My wife and I were regularly insulted... on a 34 days stay! This staff does not belong in hotel business as well as the facilities, just dirty room cleaning and old, past away furnishing.

If you want a quiet dining experience don't come here! Every one of the 3 restaurants is beyond busy and noisy, so much so we witnessed a lady shouting at the staff in the Italian restaurant to stop making so much noise! If you have sensory issues this hotel isn't for you. The food was ok (not exciting- just ok) but cold, the bacon looks like its been cooked under the chef's armpit, all stuck together and pale, it's barely seen the grill. The chef won't even cook you an omlette saying "not possible" Even being amongst the first diners the food was already cold - how?? This is a lovely clean hotel but the dining experience is not at all enjoyable. This was our 2nd visit but sadly we wouldn't return.

The hotel is lovely and clean and positioned well , you cross the road to the sea front. We received a lovely welcome from Javvi and our room was exactly what we had requested with a nice pool view. You can never book the weather and we had rain and wind, average of 12 degrees daily with one day hitting the 20's so obviously loads of sun beds were free during our stay A lovely walk along the sea front, good couple of miles. The town is within walking distance from the hotel however you have to climb uphill to get there. You can get the bus , reception will inform you where to get it. Food was fine, usual for Riu , plentiful and always able to find something, food could be a little warmer as at times it was cool. Staff were pleasant and hard working. Entertainment team worked hard and the shows were enjoyable. We enjoyed our stay and would return , hopefully next time the weather will be better .

Fantastic Hotel, amazing staff
This is an absolutely fantastic place in a great part of Torremolinos. Room lovely, all areas immaculately clean, food brilliant , and staff are so so friendly. This is probably the nicest Hotel I have stopped in. Special mention to Lou who works on reception. We had a minor issue which she sorted with such professionalism. Weather terrible but we are not bothered ☺️. We have five more days to go and would thoroughly recommend this beautiful hotel!! Mark Kenny Room 3103
