Check in went smoothly and staff was pleasant. Room was ok, some mold in bathroom. The patio door didn’t work properly, had to farce it open. Room was. Lean and bed was comfortable. The location of this hotel was great, lots to do around the area. The shows at night were spectacular.

We definitely didn’t have high expectations with the price being so affordable however RIU Cancún exceeded them by a lot. The only negative thing we can say is our room, 1000 was not very sound proof and definitely were awaken by loud vehicles on the Blvd every day. Definitely fans and will visit another RIU property in the future!!

Hotel in the heart with a heart of Cancun
Location of this hotel is close to nighlife and very walkable. Chose this hotel due to the beautiful water and prices for the week we were going on top of the RUI name. This is not one of the nicer of the RUI brands, however the staff, service, and cleanliness made it perfect for us. Our room was not glamorous, it was clean and had everything we needed. My only knock is the opaque window in the shower to the bedroom. If your partner goes into the bathroom at night, turns the light on it just shines right into the room. Not fun of you’re a light sleeper. Each morning we secured our pool seats, and off to a huge breakfast buffet. At the pool and there is something for everyone. Whether you are wanting to be involved with activities or chill, there was place for you. The beach is short. And not really walkable. There is a spot on the east side of the property that you can grab a spot on the beach to enjoy the beautiful water. I would not recommend this hotel if you expect to have a huge expanded beach. Let’s talk food. If you walk away from your trip hungry, that is all on you. Plenty of options and for this traveler, I appreciated that they did not take reservations. First come first serve. Every night they had entertainment and themed parties at the resort down the road that they organized transportation to and from. If you are bored, all on you. While this hotel is not the fanciest, it has a lot of heart. Staff is great, drinks flowed, stayed healthy all week, ate too much and had a great time away.

40th birthday vacation
Check in & check out was done with ease. The resort was beautiful and the food was great. Enjoyed the steakhouse on my birthday 🎂
