Spring Break Policies -
1. Student / Spring Breaker Groups (21 years of age or older) will be accepted ONLY at Riu Cancun & Riu Caribe
2. All Student / Spring Breaker Group reservations are strictly On Request and will be reviewed on a case by case basis by the corresponding Destination Sales Department. RIU Hotels & Resorts reserves the right of admission and may reject any request at its sole discretion.
3. If a Student / Spring Breaker Group is accepted:
a. The number of rooms will be deducted from the contracted allotments
b. Minimum Age requirement: 21 years of age or older.
c. The Hotel may request proof of age in the form of passport or official ID
d. Each room must submit a signed liability agreement upon check-in.
4. At all other RIU properties Student Groups / Spring Breakers (either groups or individuals, regardless of age) are not allowed at any time during the year.
5. Guests disturbing or generating complaints from other guests or hotel may be removed from the property, at their own expense.
a. Parties in rooms are not permitted
6. Student / Spring Breaker Groups must comply with any protocols (hotel and government) in place at the time of stay at the hotel.
Transfer Policy - A price may display when children stay free, if your vacation includes transfer to your hotel.

Dec 24, 2024Another Great Stay at the Riu Hotel Chain
This was our second time staying at a Riu Hotel, and because of the positive experience we will likely stay exclusively at Riu Hotels going forward. Where to begin? It was exceptional from the moment we checked in. We had a junior suite ocean view and were in the third floor. I’ve never had such a beautiful view. The room was clean annd quiet and had everything we needed. Showers were hot, beds were big and the balcony was spacious. Fridge was stocked daily with fresh water, pop and beer. You never need to get up early to reserve loungers here, there are plenty of places to sit at the pool or the beach all day, every day. Everything was stress free. The entertainment and Riu parties were loads of fun. And now on to the absolute best part of our stay, the incredible staff. They made us feel right at home. Although everyone was great, there were a few who I can’t help but mention here because they made our stay even more special - Juan Carlos, Delfino, David, Maggy and Dayana (mi hermana de Mexico). Thank you so much for helping me with my Spanish and taking the time to get to know us and treat us so wonderfully. We felt so cared for by each of you. I can say we certainly we will recommend this resort as well as the Riu Jalisco because both of our stays have been nothing short of amazing. Big round of applause!!!

Not a 5 star great hotel in position and great staff and very clean , buffet very good restaurants not so !!!

Best Stay Ever
It was an amazing stay. I loved the hospitality, the property, the private beach, the restaurants, the bars, and the Disco club. I also had fun at those Riu Caribe parties. It was amazing to have fun with lots of people and with all the young crowd. The rooms were good could be bit better as per 5 star rating. I had a bit of trouble with the return transfer back to airport and had to take a Taxi instead. But I would just oversee that as overall I loved the all inclusive stay with topmost service and very helpful staff. From now on RIU will be my go to place every time.

The staff is amazing
The beach is small, the personnal is very nice, the Room was perfect. 30 minutes from airport. Lots of animation for all.

Certainly not 5star
Well what can I begin to say about this hotel,a 5 star it certainly isn't we have stayed in lots of riu and I was Very disappointed in this one. Plus side - right on the beach although small was lovely,the staff were lovely too very friendly.. Down side- The room was not very good needs an update,lifts were shocking,food was ok never hot only Luke warm,the entertainment was really bad the only good one was what the animation team done it only seemed to cater for the Mexican visitors. The security there was rubbish, our safe kept locking us out and door keys never worked overall it was ok but will not return.
