    Hotel Riu Cancun Review

    Our early flight and airport transfer got us to the hotel at 10:30 am. We had a bag to change into sandals and swimsuits but the hardest part was not getting our room until 3:30 in the afternoon. After being up since 2:00 am for travel - this was difficult. Having no hot water and then no water until after 4:30 on the Friday of our trip was also difficult to work around but we were notified of the water issue the day before. It was a good trip. We were also there during Spring break so groups of college kids were annoyiing but tolerable. Would go again but at a different time from Spring Breaks

    BE AWARE

    Tainted alcohol at this hotel. Beware of the drinks they are pouring you at the pool areas. We had one drink and were legless. Clearly something put into our drink. Horrible experience. Ruined our trip and did not drink alcohol since. Won’t be back. Avoid

    Party City

    Unless your reason for going to Cancun is to drink and party, do avoid this hotel. It was clean but charmless and mediocre at best and alcohol was really pushed. Guests were puking in the pool and passing out on the grounds. We sure won't return here

    Riu Cancun

    Room has everything thing needed to a good time, TV, bath supplies, restocking minibar and comfortable beds. Food is very good. Entertainment provided is fun. The bars serve drinks very well and quickly. Excursion information and booking is good. The transportation supplied for the excursions is good and timely.

    Awesome & highly recommend

    The food was more than fabulous. Had like 4 or so on site restaurants and the buffet had separate bars for all the different cultures. Loved the entertainment, something different every night. Even with some spring breakers there, there was no issues. There's pretty much a party side and a quiet side. Staff is very fluent in english which is nice for those that speak little or no Spanish. Rooms were nice and everything seemed clean. And fyi, their hot tub is a whirlpool not hot (a bubble pool). But still was not a deal breaker.
