    Nice vacation

    We spent a great week at Riu Bambu. The weather was perfect, the beach is gorgeous and the sea was warm. No seaweed! Food was good, we tried all the restaurants and loved something in all of them. Room was spacious and the AC worked great. The front desk was very helpful. There is room for improvement. The furniture in the room is old and unusable (couldn’t open/close drawers). Not enough lounges at the beach or pool. The hotel was packed and people were struggling to find a place to sit. Some dishes were very salty and some waiters forgot to bring our water. These small things didn’t stop us to enjoy our vacation. Go and have fun!

    Loved this resort

    Had my destination wedding here, 34 others travelled with me to the Riu Bambu and we had a great time. The Riu parties are so much fun, the beach is beautiful, the staff are so friendly. So many positives for this resort, my only complaints would be the beds are quite hard and the buffet food wasn’t the greatest. But the restaurant food made up for that. I’d love to go back sometime

    I was provided with exemplary services and the staff are very friendly in all aspects

    RUI Resort gave me a great experience and I enjoyed the stay at the Resort. I applaud the staff team who work tirelessly to make sure that you get the most out of your stay at Resort. The entire facility is well managed and I recommend people visit there. Maybe more emphasis in late evening entertainment

    Ok, but not the greatest Riu.

    Arrival - check in was long! We checked in online which we felt was pointless because we still had to stand in the long queue at reception. At previous Rui’s and other hotels, we have been greeted with drinks but there was nothing on arrival, we were just told to wait in a long queue to check in. Which after a long 9 hour flight and day of travelling, was tough. It would have been nice to have been greeted better. Food - I’m vegan so I expect to struggle with food at all inclusive resorts but the food that was available was cold as soon as it’s put on the plate. The food really lets this hotel down. I brought cuppa soups and snacks which carried me through. Room - the rooms are basic but that’s ok, we don’t spend the majority of our time in the rooms. The beds were comfy enough, shower was decent. The rooms are clean and the drinks get restocked. You can also get extra water from reception if needed. Staff - I read a lot of reviews about the staff being rude and unfriendly but we didn’t find that. We felt the staff were friendly enough and we attempted where we could to speak Spanish, and they would speak English to us. Pools - We spent our time across the TUI exclusive (As TUI guests) and the main pool, both were nice. The TUI only pool was quieter, and has its only bar, which was nice, although we did find other non TUI guests using the area as there are no checks on who uses it. Shops - the shops in the resort are over priced, we needed to purchase some Ibuprofen which worked out to be around £21 for 8 tablets! Ridiculous. The shops take both Dollars and DR Pesos.

    Great place to stay!!!

    We came to Riu Bambu for a couples trip and we had the best time! Food was amazing, pools and staff were great! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! We will be back for sure!!
