Dec 29, 2025Nope. Never again.
Was offered to come check out newly renovated rooms. I didn’t know that a room designed in the 90’s could be classified as newly renovated… the room was falling apart. One example: the faucets were crusted over with green gunk and would not turn off. If you turned the handle, either way, they would turn on. You had to hit a “sweet spot” in the middle to stop the flow. Also, both faucets leaked water from the handle that would run down the counters into a puddle. Only two Blackjack tables open at the high time for playing in the evening on a Friday night! 15 people waiting to play and no other tables would be opened. First and last time staying at the Rio.

The experience is overall OK until I asked housekeeping explicitly while not getting it, and ended up with no clean towels to use at night. I called the front desk and got response that they would send clean towels to door but refuse to promise a timeframe. In the end nobody shows up with nothing. I was only able to get towels after running into a housekeeper on the hallway. The gift shop has no price tag and when I ask for which one is more affordable, the cashier responded with noticeable attitude. World of Hyatt members: be prepared not getting welcomed at the place. No expedited service at front desk.

Ok but could be better
Need more people helping out at desk more housekeeping more drink servers pull out bed stuff to be in rooms and cheaper prices on shows and more food options so we do t have to doordash stuff.

Not clean!
Room was not cleaned! There were used water bottles, cups and hair clip and a chipotle take out receipt left in the room, I called room service and it took them over an hour to come and inspect. The First Lady came and took photos but didn’t take out any trash, and told me the used bottles were complimentary water. a while later another person came to pick up the trash but said he didn’t know there was complimentary water. The WiFi also didn’t work and the technician never came. The door between the two rooms was not sound proof and I could see the light through the big gaps. Overall pretty terrible experience.

It’sThe Rio is off the strip and much quieter which is what I prefer! It is great for families and older people that don’t need or want the ruckus of the strip!
