Felt unwelcomed
Unless you look like a high roller, don't come here. Staff does not treat all guests the same. Staff failed to make me feel welcome. All they care about was making a dollar. This hotel claims to be upper scale yet I have been treated better at lower scale hotels on the strip.

Appalling.
I forgot 2 items in my hotel room, which they found immediately, and promised to leave it with UPS. A month goes by, finally a link to the UPS. They claim not to have the down jacket only the scarf. Since June I've been trying to get in touch with this person at the hotel, no answer, no explanation. After numerous e mails to this employe, I gave up. This is not how to treat previous customers, an absolute disgrace.

Mattress poor; exorbitant resort fees.
Positive: The location near downtown Summerlin is convenient and about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The Summerlin center has many great restaurants and shops. The restaurant in the hotel we had breakfast at, ( Lucky Penny) was good and the service was very good. Negative: *The hotel charges a $50 resort fee per night. I can not understand what you get for this. Only 2 small pools and one very tiny "warm" tub was open from 10-4 pm. Otherwise, the outdoor area could not be accessed. Roped off. *No secure internet in the room. The fitness center was adequate for a hotel this size. *By far one of the worst mattresses I have slept on in years. When we inquired about changing rooms to hopefully get a better mattress we were told the mattresses were old and they were all the same in every room and that they were going to get replaced "next month." The best they could do was to offer a bed board to place under the old lumpy, soft mattress. When I asked to have one brought up, I was told they were out of the boards. So obviously others had problems as well! *There was a very strong artificial air freshener smell throughout the lobby and casino areas. If you are sensitive to artificial or perfumed odors, it can be a problem. I am guessing this is due to poor ventilation of the cigarette smoke. There did not seem to be a non-smoking section of the casino.

Incredibly Disappointing. Avoid if you have any standards at all.
Overall it was a dreadful experience. As someone who worked in the hospitality industry for many years this was just piss poor service and folks who work there need to be trained on recovery. Everyone makes mistakes but how you recover is the difference between a good and bad experience. My husband and I drove from Phoenix after work on a Friday night to stay the weekend for my friend's company's Christmas Party that she was throwing in one of the ballrooms at Red Rock. The two nights were prepaid and we made online reservations for that night at T-Bones Steakhouse for 11pm. We got in at 10pm. Check-in was fine. We got our room, changed clothes and made our way to the restaurant. The hallway is extremely long but there is a closer set of elevators about 3/4 of the way down. We got on at the 5th floor and 2 sets of couples were already on but looking confused. We hit the casino floor button but the elevator would not take us there. After some hesitation to go it stopped on the 3rd floor. We were all confused since the casino is on the 2nd floor. My husband and I got off to reassess. We got on a different elevator but it still wouldn't take us to the casino. Eventually us and the other couples end up taking the back of the house stairs and somehow ended up in the room service prep area. 2 servers we ran into were like 'this happens all the time' then directed us which doors to go through to reach the lobby. When we went to the front desk about it the guy goes 'oh yeah you can't use those elevators to get to the casino.' I said that's something that should be disclosed when people checkin especially since the hallway is so long-people are going to want to use closer elevators. His response 'oh yeah we have a long hallway.' From there we went to T-Bones t where had an 11pm reservation. When we check in the hostess who seemed annoyed sees the reservation then says 'just to let you know, we close in five minutes.' I was in disbelief. I asked why I was allowed to make a reservation at 11pm then? She then said she could seat us. I said if it's going to be a situation where we get bad service then never mind. She responded, 'it's up to you.' We left and went next door to the 24 hour place to eat. We were served by a very nice woman. For you gamblers: We waited 10-15 minutes for service on a malfunctioning slot machine and still no one came. The room was nice. The bathroom shower was clogged. Breakfast in the morning was cold. Additionally, my credit card was charged $363 for a prepaid room that we did not charge anything to. We are now disputing it. Just a mess.

No service for machines in casino
I had a jammed machine. Turned on lights for help. No one came. Had $ in machine. Terrible service. Will not go back to gamble here. Waited over 20 minutes, gave up. I asked a cocktail waitress to send someone, she didn’t. Do not go there. Could be gambling instead waiting
