Choice hotels, WTFU!
Radisson is is one of my favorite brands, but this was my first with the brand in the US, where it is owned by Choice hotels Simply put, this hotel completely tarnishes the Radisson name. The only positive thing to mention is location. The hotel it's a walking distance from Fontainebleau conference center (this was a business trip), and a few strides from shore. As for the rest: Service is awful, staff is rude, underqualified, unaccommodating, and very slow. And to add to it, the hotel runs on obscure policies, corporate cards are a foreign concept, so my party couldn’t pay for the stay using the card used for reservation, and each member had to pay for their own stay. The resort is a relic, and a poorly maintained one: rooms are noisy (paper walls), no hot water at night time, and hazards all around (see attached picture from the gym - first time I’ve seen a stripped treadmill, and of course no warning sign to be seen) Safety - the poor facilities also relate to personal safety. See attached picture of the door to the pool that won’t fit its frame. Same day this picture was taken someone was gunned down a few blocks down the road. Restaurant - offers a very poor menu at outrageous prices. Breakfast at the Holiday Inn next door is far better. Reading other reviews for the last couple of months, I say this goes beyond normal neglect. This hotel deserves to be shaken down to its core.

A Quiet Beach Experience Without All The Money.
I can imagine that when going to Miami Beach, you'd want to go all in on an expensive resort with everyone holding the doors for you when you go somewhere. While the Radisson doesn't do that (because their doors are automatic), their staff are very kind and courteous, their lobby has great music vibes, VERY clean, with great access to CVS down the street, affordable meal options and immediate access to the beach. Forget going down to SOBE! The beach was well maintained, with lounge chair/umbrella/towel access, as well as a very inviting pool experience. Very quiet and enjoyable. The rooms were also very cozy, with limited interruptions from area hotels (It was Miami Music Week, so SOME loud noise is expected during the day). My only take away from this hotel are some minor cosmetic imperfections (foil sticker covering a hole at Lobby elevators, ware/tare from the weather, shower head strength). Would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel for someone who isn't spending all day in the room, but loves immediate access to the beach.

Radisson does not appear to care.
The hotel is at a great location. It’s however very tired. Was half empty. Our tap continuously dripping, roadworks outside and the aircon is humming throughout the hotel at a lulling 35db. If you just want a bed, using earplugs when sleeping and believe $2000+ for a room for a week is just fine then this hotel is great. Breakfast is a set menu thing. Ended up using Uber eats as it gave more variety and was cheaper for a family of 4. Radisson here looks like it has ran out of ambition to be great. Maintenance is of poor standard. The door to the pool has come off its hinges, a hole in the lift call plate for your kids to poke their finger in is complementary. Cleanliness in reception of the soft seating is not great, the staff visibly do not want to be there with their permanent upside down smiles. If Miami wasn’t as great as it was then the hotel would have ruined the holiday. Great transport links. An Uber from the airport to the hotel is around $70. The bus however is $2.25 per person and gets you there quicker. Download the Miami transit app for times. It’s the 150 bus and stops at 42st and the hotel is at 43st. We took the bus on the way back to the airport. To get around Miami Beach you can take the free ‘Trolley’ and Ubers are everywhere. Miami great. Hotel not so good. We did not eat at the hotel once as it looked so bad. A breakfast buffet is the least you want with all the American favourites. Go to Miami - it’s great. Don’t pick this hotel if you want a good hospitality experience.

Don’t stay here. Not worth the money or aggravation.
The room to small, I feel like I'm staying in a closet. No window or balcony to get fresh air in to hear the ocean what good is it to have an oceanfront room when you can't enjoy the ocean. No Bar to sit at while waiting for my fiancé to get ready. No servers at the pool. At the beach, the beach attedent has no towels, so you have to walk back in and get your own at the pool. TV did not work, could not get into Netflix. And the worst, your Wi-Fi is lousy and you can't get a good signal. Also, the password has been compromised per Google. Google give you a warning to change the password because you've been hacked. What a joke. I really have nothing good to say about the hotel. I don't find myself as a difficult person, but there is nothing good about this hotel. As far as a value, I can't believe we paid $500 a night to stay at this place. Thats a joke! I'm not that person to leave reviews on the Internet, but in this case, I‘m definitely leaving a negative review on this hotel.

Nice location, Infuriating Staff.
Wife and I stayed 5 nights as I did buainess. The good: Nice Ocean facing room, which was clean. Bathroom is small - one person at a time. Nice pool, nice beach. Thermostat is responsive with reasonably quiet a/c. Had one breakfast at the restaurant which was fine-good coffee and decent food with friendly service. The all-hard-surfaces decor is a bit sterile, but probably easier to clean the sand that is tracked in. Room price is half of the Fontainebleau next door. The bad: Beach chairs close at “5pm”. We went at 4:45pm and they were already all locked up and the attendant was very rude when I complained. I left a voice message with the staff at the desk and they did not return my call. We know that 15 minutes to closing is not much beach time, but I had a busy work day and wanted a little chill time, that we pay for with our resort fee. The hotel shouldn’t advertise “until 5” if it closes at 4:30. The worse: it is a “nonsmoking” family hotel. On checking in, you must sign a pledge not to smoke. But someone on our hall was smoking marijuana. At first it was just irritating. Then it got worse. The room windows don’t open and there is no vent fan. I complained in the morning.. The front desk promised to send someone. In the afternoon, a housekeeping person was spraying Fabreeze in the hall. But apparently they did not evict the offender. After that the smell got worse - more intense. We went out for the day and dinner and when we returned the odor was so bad we started feeling sick. Our lungs started hurting. The smell permeated our room. We tried to go to sleep and could not. I phoned the desk and complained. The hotel promised to send “security”. They did not. I went into the hall to check; and nobody came. A woman and young man were in the hall. The young man said he had to run to CVS immediately to get medication because of allergies triggered by the smoke. The woman said her husband felt ill. I called the front desk again. The desk said security was reviewing camera footage. I said that would do no good, others on the floor were complaining of illness and so the hotel had to knock on doors and find out who is doing it and kick them out. The hotel offered another room. I refused because I shouldn’t have to pack and move at 11pm. The offender should. I told them they had 10 minutes to find the smoker and stop or evict them or I would call the police. Nothing was done. So I called the police non-emergency line and to my surprise a cop arrived in about 10 minutes. He refused to investigate beyond asking the desk staff and me some questions and going upstairs to sniff. The desk lied to him that security had been sent to investigate. He confirmed the smell. He did not knock on any doors.. His unfair, cowardly and lazy solution was the same as the hotel’s: that we should move to another room or out of the hotel as it was a “civil matter”. So we moved. That room was fine. The hotel comped us a late checkout fee the next day but should have comped us the room for that night and most of all, should have kicked the smoker out. Never staying there again.
