Nov 29, 2025Probably one of the best hotel in Belize City
We went there for the Gala of the BTB awards, I imagine that the hotel was fully booked because the room wasn’t ready on time, however the Front desk team was very nice, they gave us access to the pool and complementary drinks to make it up for the delay on the rooms, I can’t remember his name, but is was a gentleman wearing glasses, he speaks Spanish and English, great customer service !!!! The room were nice and clean, I got the ocean view and my college got the pool view with a balcony. The hotel Is very close to downtown, the restaurant on site is great, the pool is a little tiny, but they are working on some expansion and they’ll have a huge pool. 100% recommended.

Our flight was unexpectedly canceled, so we needed to find a hotel quickly, and Fort George turned out to be a great choice overall. The property is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, and the staff were generally friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely top-notch — from creative cocktails at the bar to an exceptional dinner — and the restaurant service was outstanding. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the beds made for a great night’s sleep. A few small things kept this from being a 5-star experience. The online booking system didn’t work, so I had to call to reserve, and the front desk/concierge team seemed a bit uncertain when I had questions (for example, no one could tell me whether the pool was heated). After my stay, it also took several calls and emails to get a copy of my receipt. Still, overall this is a lovely property with wonderful food and a welcoming atmosphere. A small touch like a welcome drink (even water or lemonade) at check-in would go a long way in rounding out the experience. I’d absolutely stay again!

The Fort George Hotel & Spa offer a clean, competitively priced experience! They have an excellent sauna, and one of the best massages I have had in any country. Prices are similar to what you tend to find in a medium-sized U.S. city. If you’re visiting Belize City and you need a massage/spa, this is the place. My girlfriend and I loved our 90 minute massages.

This hotel service is a indeed 3rd world class. Their resort actually has 3 separate buildings. I paid for 2 rooms for my family, 1 room 2 beds for my kids and 1 room with single bed. They put my kids in 1 building while we in the other. No where on their website stated that we will be separated when we reserved and paid upfront. To fix it, the 2 women at check in insisted that to fix it the mistake, we have to pay additional $300 USD. Magically, more money will allow us to be with our kids. Greedy greedy people. Will never ever spend another dollar here.
