Pool #40 at Sunset was a great experience! Roberto and Staff are all hard workers and very friendly!! Roberto was our server our last day. He delivered our drinks just the way we like them.. fast, cold and 'string :)

Wonderful!
Alvaro was the Best at the main pool! What a great time! We were here for Christmas and it was amazing! Recommendation the main pool with all of the servers, and ours was Alvaro!

This is not a five star hotel. It's more like a 3. The bed is so uncomfortable the pillows are hard. The sheets are definitely not close to five star. It took us over an hour to check in. They screwed up our room. And did not provide sheets for the pull-out bed. When we request them at 8:30 they said they would come. We never received sheets. What was madness is how they were just lying to my face until midnight that we would get sheets. We had no hot water. Here on day two with still no hot water. I do not understand how they have such good reviews. Our experience has been atrocious. People have been complaining by the pool. Although there are multiple pools. Good luck getting a seat. And better arrive by 9:00 a.m. or you will not get a seat. The facility is dirty, old, and desperate need of an upgrade and a lot more staff. The food is typical as if you're at a red robin. Also regarding the location. You cannot swim in the city. There is an undercurrent. Yes it is pretty but if you were hoping to dip your toes in you cannot. They had a guard out there today making sure people did not go close to the water.

Omar and Carlos are the best!
Carlos and Omar at pool 26 are so great! Helpful, fun, quick everything you need for nice pool day. 10/10 experience staying in building 27.

Dec 27, 2025Family vacation, overall we enjoyed the visit, I hope the suites will be upgraded soon and the restaurants improve
This beautiful place is showing signs of aging, suites need to be updated, the quality of some of the restaurants is mediocre, others like La Frida, Cilantro, Lanao are great. The view is wonderful, the landscape is beautiful and the excellent service made us feel better. I have been coming to this place for 14 years, I really hope things go back to the way it used to be
