    Paradise on the coast

The hotel was absolutely stunning and the vibes were incredible. Drinks by the pool (and in the pool), sunsets on the beach by the fires, amazing unending food and a fantastic staff. We absolutely loved our stay and will very likely vacation here again in the future. Being able to explore the other resorts in the hotel-family while we were there was a nice bonus (Pueblo Bonito Sunset up the hill was also very beautiful - but we loved the adults only tranquility of Pacifica). We stayed over Christmas and it was such a great week. The room was very cozy and we never heard any of our neighbors (walls are solid). Room service was quick and staff was super friendly and helpful. We even saw Santa and the Grinch by the pool. 11/10!

    Would not recommend this hotel

This hotel was a huge letdown. The property is extremely outdated, and the rooms are missing major updates. Everything—from the furniture to the fixtures—feels old and poorly maintained. We booked the all-inclusive option, which turned out to be a complete waste of money. The food was awful, to the point that we had to eat out every single night. The restaurants included in the all-inclusive package were very limited, and making reservations was nearly impossible, they would offer 9 pm dinner times and suggested we order room service instead. Even breakfast was disappointing—you’re forced into a very low-quality buffet with horrid options. One of the most frustrating moments was being served coffee in a cracked, leaking mug. That pretty much summed up the level of care and attention throughout the stay. Service overall was horrible and unprofessional. We had to ask for utensils while being served food. The only positives were the bar drinks, which were decent, and the location. The views are beautiful, and the hotel is in a great area—but that alone does not make up for everything else. Overall, this hotel is badly in need of renovations and serious improvements to food quality and service. I would not recommend staying here, especially if you’re considering the all-inclusive option.

Hosted our 21 person party for 7 days and we all left with great memories

We went to this resort for a Thanksgiving vacation. In our group were 21 adults ranging in age from early 60’s to early 20’s. We arrived on November 25th, 2025, and left December 2nd, 2025. Having been there in 2014, the resort was just as I remembered it. We stayed in an ocean front suite, room number 231. While everything is clean and well maintained, it is certainly showing its age. As frequent visitors of resorts in Cancun, this resort has some age spots. Tiles in the pool were coming off, creature comforts like electrical outlets in the room weren’t where I hoped they be. While perfectly usable, the shower was just a tub with a shower head. No way 2 people are using the shower/tub at the same time. My wife and I weren’t able to plug in our phones at our bed while sleeping, we had to find outlets around the suite to charge. While we had a kitchenette, we didn’t use it but for the refrigerator. We ate dinner at Cilantros by the pool. I had stuffed peppers as an appetizer and they were delicious. My chicken fettuccini was very bland. Others loved their food. I wish I could remember our waiters name, but he was outstanding. One of the best we had our trip. Sorry I didn’t get your name. Each morning we ate at Paloma’s. The food was always good, but the wait staff was a 5 out of 10 at best. They seemed to get better and nicer as the week went on, but the first few days was less than welcoming. Most in our group had the same thoughts. Our best experience with the wait staff was at the pool. Our first day we had a gentleman, whose name I won’t share, that seemed we were inconveniencing him. The next few days we had Ivan 2 days in a row and then Alfredo. Both were outstanding, anticipating our needs and going above and beyond to make our time great. Rut was our hostess at the sushi restaurant and did a great job of accommodating our large group on 2 different nights. Our waiter here was fantastic too, I just failed to get his name. He was there the evening of Sunday November 30th and worked the top sitting area, under the cover. I hope he gets credit. Overall a lot of fun, just an older resort that is showing its age.

A most wonderful and relaxing vacation

A wonderful and relaxing resort. The Butler Service made it exquisite. The all-inclusive package was convenient and the food was delicious. We are coming back next year.

    Losing Ground

We have been coming here for 15 years now. The rooms seriously need an upgrade and the food gets less and less tasty every year. The best meal we ate came from the buffet on Mexican night at the Rose. Cilantro’s used to be good for lunch and dinner but not so much anymore. Sunsets (Sushi) is always closed for theme nights. On the open nights we went (twice) we could not get a table….even at 5:00 as we went early to make sure we could be seated. The best thing about this place is the view…but good luck trying to get a chair by the pool as most everything that has any kind of shade is being “saved” by 6:00 AM. Losing faith in this place.
