Run Down, Nothing Works - They Do Not Care

Worst hotel experience in my life. The place is old, everything is a hassle, and the management knows it is bad, but do nothing about it. My front door moved back and forth in the frame 24/7 with the mild wind blowing through and sounded each time like someone was loudly trying to break in without a key. I could not sleep during the day or night. I complained to management and nothing happened. There is no phone to the front desk so every time something goes wrong you have to hike to the front desk. The next day I complained again. After several visits from the hotel maintenance guy, he produced a shim to stick in the door gap to hold the door securely. That is the type of solutions they come up with at the PCI to fix things - mickey mouse. Also, when I first entered the room, a super loud fan was running. I fiddled with the temp gauge and nothing. It was broken. I complained and nothing. There was some fan or air conditioning related mechanical device making the noise somewhere. After being kept at night, I went to the first desk at 2:30am to complain again. I was offered a new room, which I took and they had nobody to help me move. So I packed up everything and moved to a new room by myself at 2:30am. Nobody cares. When I first showered I saw there were these opaque tube bottles stuck apparently to the wall with labels of soap, conditioner, etc. - something I have never seen before. No soap bar anywhere. So I try to figure out these tubes - do they detach from the wall? Do I twist something to open it? No clue. Finally, I figure out how they work, but the soap tube is empty. So I go to front desk again and request a tube with soap. Which a day later I received - but I could not figure out how to attach it to the wall. No coffee maker in the room, so I walk to the front desk, request one and it arrives later that night. The coffee machine did not work properly and drank some hybrid espresso/coffee drink. One of the hotel staff said he would take my issues with management and implied they would give me a credit. I was in contact with him via text until I checked out and he went radio silent since. From what I understand, they are planning a renovation and are trying to squeek out as much revenue as possible with the existing broken down building and keep costs down by doing as little as possible - like scrimping on soap, coffee, maintenance. Just think of it - no direct line to the front desk, they do not make easy to complain. Stay away.

    Engagement shoot

Gena is the best photographer I have ever experienced! The best service and she was great with our engagement and family photo shoot! Also made everything much easier and the photos turned out amazing. There couldn’t be a better photographer for the most important moment of my life.

    So so resort!

This was for a girls trip and we decided to stay 1 night here since it was beachfront. We arrived early but our rooms weren’t ready, so they held our luggage until we could get in our rooms. We finally got in our poolside rooms around 4 pm. We found puke on the tv, stained towels, broken lamp and broken blinds. After paying almost $500 for 1 room 1 night, this was pretty disappointing. Bar closed at 10 pm. We did watch the Iowa woman’s basketball game at the lobby bar and the bartender jennesa was awesome! The pool is awesome and so was the beach. I would recommend this hotel if you like to party but if you want something more classy I wouldn’t stay here. I don’t think it’s worth almost $500 a night.

    Nice property and people...terrible rooms

The good...staff was wonderful. All of them from bars to front desk to pool attendants. Bed was comfortable and clean. The common areas of the property were nice and had a fun vibe. The bad...the rooms were terrible. Very old and worn down nothing at all like the pictures on the website. Management should be ashamed. Furniture was all scratched and chipped bathroom had patches and peeling paint. The shower was yellowed and wall was bubbling. Water shot out of all the handles. Like someone else said there was nothing on the walls like the pics. Just peeling paint. My room was made up once in my three night stay. Not worth the price charged
