Not Happy Campers
This facility is over due for replacement as the surrounding resorts are all new and far superior. The pool, food, service, bar and rooms are all way out of date and very substandard now. Don't let the price suck you in, pay a little more so you enjoy your stay. A look at the one small worn out dirty pool and you won't want to go in. Food service is like a cheap cafeteria with minimal selection and you can't serve yourself. Quality and selection is very poor. Drinks also shockingly poor. Dollar store plastic glasses worn around the rim from use. We can't figure out why some reviews are good unless the visitors are from some third world country. Thant said, nice beach but you can't swim because of the undertow and the maids were very nice.
We loved the resort, staff, food, beach, however, please beware! We paid for all-inclusive and they made us pay $1,000 when we got there for food and drinks. The travel agency is refunding our money. It was clearly the resort management that did this. I tried to fix the issue at the resort before leaving , but they refused to refund our money. Be sure you check with this resort before you travel.
Had a great time
The food and staff were great. So nice. Close to town. Beautiful wide beach. Sat on our lounge chair watching whales. Never did we have a problem finding an umbrella ( or whatever those are called lol ) on the beach. Our room was on the second floor. Nice size patio ,with a beautiful view. The activity staff were a lot of fun and not pushy 😊
False advertising! this is not a "resort" it's an old motel parked on the beach. Very disappointed when we arrived. We checked out and spend an additional $3000US to go to an actual resort. Would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a resort in Del Jose.
Very old and low key resort
Just returned home from a five day trip here and always try and leave an honest review. The food by the pool was good, but usually pretty slow. I waited an hour on two separate occasions to get food. The buffet was pretty small and always had a line as well, but it was decent. Entertainment was pretty much non existent at this resort during the day. In the 5 days I visited they played bingo twice and had two water aerobics classes, that was it! Mixed drinks by the pool were awful, tried several different ones and they were all bad. They don’t even have champagne for mimosas, that’s a first for me at a resort. Bartenders, though I tipped were never really super friendly, other than Hector. He works really hard and runs around all day, and was usually friendly. The room was clean and the water pressure was great, but no wash cloths. Their guy you book excursions through doesn’t speak English well, and couldn’t give us proper instructions for our trip we booked, but he tried. If you’re looking to sit by a pool and read, this is your spot. I would not stay here again if I returned to Los Cabo’s.
