We visited Bermuda for the first time for my December birthday. We chose Pompano because of the small size, the fact that it is family owned, the ocean views from all rooms, and the value. It did not disappoint. We stayed in the building by the pool, 2nd floor. The room was large and nicely appointed. The carpets have been replaced by luxury vinyl floors recently. Furniture was in good condition and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom is also large. Everything is very clean and the cleaning staff does a full cleaning every day. The oceanfront balcony was amazing and included 2 lounge chairs, 2 regular chairs, and a small table for drinks. I still dream about watching the gentle turquoise waves go in and out over the light pink sand. The beach is small but lovely with plenty of lounge chairs. Even in December, we were able to take an ocean dip. The pool and the hot tubs are nice. We did the breakfast/dinner plan and every meal was fantastic. We enjoyed both dining rooms. Every course was well prepared with appealing details. The staff is excellent. We especially appreciated Lynda at the front desk and Lynn in the Cedar Room. Mark the bartender at the Sunset Lounge was also fun to talk to. Drink prices are reasonable. The only cons to Pompano: location is far from Hamilton and other attractions but using the bus and taxis works well. Pompano will shuttle you back and forth to the closest bus stop. They will also take you to the closest market. The other con is that they do not seem to acknowledge birthdays or special events. I did not expect any free drinks or flowers but no one said a word even though my husband specifically mentioned it to the staff a few times. Overall, Pompano was lovely, relaxing, quiet, and comfortable. Highly recommend if you are looking for a low key Bermuda vacation!

Peaceful Perfect Pompano
We have been to Bermuda many times but this was our first trip to Pompano Beach Club. We came to Pompano with another couple to celebrate my husband's birthday and can hardly wait to go back. The resort is spread out with lots of green spaces and places to walk [ not on the golf course] and the villas are all facing the ocean. As shown in the photos, the terrain is hilly and perhaps could be a challenge for people with mobility issues. The pool area overlooks the ocean and had lots of lounge chairs and the small clean private beach is reached via several flights of stairs. The main lodge is welcoming with places to sit, read and watch the ocean if you happen to get a rainy day. The staff is OUTSTANDING and cannot do enough to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. The shuttle service to the ferry stop and the bus stop was a treat. You can buy bus tickets at the front desk, which also are accepted on any of the ferries. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and keep the rooms spotlessly clean. We had a 2nd floor suite with balcony, separate sitting room and bedroom and loved it. The bathroom was huge and had both tub and walk in shower as well as double sinks and was super clean. There have been some reviews that suggest that the rooms need updating. If you are looking for something super modern, this is not the place for you. If you like cozy, comfortable and clean, you will not be disappointed. We took the full meal plan and so glad that we did because the food was great, no need to go anywhere else. Meals in both restaurants, The Cedar Room and the Ocean Grill, were top notch and a different menu in each. After a $200.00 lunch in Hamilton we could hardly wait to get back to Pompano. The golf course was closed in preparation for a PGA tournament when we were there but we have played it before and it's a great course to play and Pompano will shuttle you over to the clubhouse. This is a family run business and the owners are friendly and are front and centre making sure everything runs smoothly. After coming home and raving about Pompano, my brother has now booked a 10 day stay...I guess that's as good a recommendation as I can give.

Staff treat everyone like family
Beautiful resort on the most amazing beach that allows tranquil wandering way off shore especially at low tide. SpectacularSpectacular views. Especially the sunsets. Rooms including beds are comfortable. Would highly recommend the suite as its not a lot more money. Pool and plentiful hot tubs are terrific. Chaises are all around the property and allow more new views Food is plentiful, varied and delicious. Well worth the meal plan. Afternoon tea and treats a lovely touch. Cannot say enough about the staff. They truly treat everyone like family right from the owners to the housekeeping and wait staff. They will do anything to make your stay perfect. We were visiting while the PGA tournament was on and Larry gifted us VIP passes. Will be hard to leave our new Bermudian friends. Thank-you for a beautiful retreat.

Once you know- you'll go!
We recently returned from another perfect stay at Pompano Beach Resort. It all began with a very warm greeting from several familiar gentelmen. Our checkin was speedy and we were then off to our room with CC who was dealing with our heavy luggage. The weather was perfect and ther was always room down at the beach ,other levels with chairs and umbrellas as well as lots of room around the beautifully taken care of pool and hot tub. There was a good choice of beverages as well as food for lunch. The breakfast was either off the menu or buffet style. We enjoyed them all especially when we ate outside with the beautiful view. The Monday night Welcome Dinner with drinks and conversations was followed by a 5 star buffet. So many selections!!!!! This year I again loved the ribs , steak and potatoes followed by the yummy chocolate mousse. On other nights there were many delicious selections at each of the restaurans. Tom's favorite was rack of lamb and mine was either salmon or the rack of lamb. We both loved the frozen key lime. We also appreciated the wonderful service by the efficient and pleasant Irene. She even took some time to chat. Transportation to the bus stop was provided, as well as a trip to the grocery store with the warm and friendly CC. Of course what makes the hotel the BEST choice was the feeling of peace . It is all due to Tom and Larry Lamb's hard work as well as the staff they have chosen. We have already booked for next year.... Once you go, you'll return!!!

Paradise found
We had a fabulous stay at Pompano. We first visited the resort 7 years ago, during a stop in beautiful Bermuda, on a cruise and always wanted to return. We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay, from the warm welcome, fabulous food, amenities, beach and the immaculate, comfortable accommodation. We stayed in a deluxe oceanfront room, which was convenient to everything. We found all the staff to be very warm and friendly, particular mention to Greg, Lyn, Tayah and Ilene. Also a mention for Stacey, who was very helpful during our booking process. We will definitely return.
