Absolutely wonderful.
I have not been to this resort before and it was an absolutely amazing trip. The staff were all so friendly and helpful wanting to make the experience great and they all did. Enrique the Bellhop was always awesome he always made my day. I will definitely return to the Yucatan again everyone and everything was so comfortable they all made you feel so incredibly Welcome.

The experience was average, but the resort is very nice
The location was beautiful, I did find the experience to be very average. The first two days we were here, Everytime we had a question we always were told to ask someone else, and it would be an endless loop, very frustrating. Amaury the bellboy was such a help, he made the experience so much better by helping us and being very kind. The atmosphere was average, wish there was more greenery. The room was okay, MAKE SURE TO DRY THE GROUND, you will slip from the water. The food was amazing, buffet had wide variety which is nice. The swim out porch felt very dirty, however, everything else was very clean.

Relaxing While Entertaining
I went to the Platinum Yucatan Princess solo for a 1-week relaxation break. It was just what I needed: a break from work and pretty much everything. I found it to be a good balance between quiet relaxation and fun energy… it came down to where I wanted to plant myself for the day. I thought the crowd was, on average, a bit older so there wasn’t a massive party, blow-out, spring break-like vibe, but it was still fun enough, and one or two people overdid it which leads to a story or two. Plenty of food options to choose from and the à la cartes were excellent. The buffet was above average as far as buffets go. I especially enjoyed the fresh taco bar for lunch. Also, the lobby has a coffee bar which made an excellent cappuccino, of which I partook daily. I think about 85% of the clientele were Canadian, which is interesting. Access to the next-door sister resorts was a great perk because it more than doubled entertainment, eating and gift shop options (and turned a smallish resort into a massive one). If I were to be critical about anything, I’d say that sometimes the bars seemed a bit understaffed. But this was just in waves and I figure that adding capacity to cover surges in bar traffic would only increase costs and prices at the resort. The room they assigned me (building 3, facing the main activity pool), was very spacious, was supplied with everything I could imagine needing, and was completely sound proof. Also, each and every staff member I came across was excellent. Service was great.

10-Day December 2025 Stay
This was our fourth stay at the Platinum Yucatan Princess and our second stay there in 2025. Our stays at PYP include 14-days in 2017, 14-days in 2018, 7-days in March of this year, and then 10-days for this past vacation. The only reason for the seven year gap between stays was that we were living on the other side of the globe for a long period of time. Once again, this resort delivered on our expectations. As with our previous three stays we booked a Honeymoon Swim Out Suite. We continue to book this room category due to the convenience of the location, the larger room and of course the easy access to the pool. Platinum Yucatan Princess fits exactly the type of vacation we enjoy taking. We just want to relax, sit around the pool, have some drinks and enjoy some rest. We have no interest in playing the towel game trying to secure chairs by the beach or by the pool which we hear is common in a lot of resorts. We want to eat when we're ready to eat and aren't interested in making reservations so this resort continues to fit perfectly with the ability to walk right up to an a la carte restaurant and usually get seated pretty quickly. I should mention that we travel a substantial amount for both our jobs and have done so for over 20 years, so having a complete chilled out vacation is exactly what we are looking for every time. We're not looking to party, participate in tours or excursions... we're interested in the great weather, meeting some people and enjoying what the resort has to offer. We want to shout out the following staff members we interacted with the most for making another stay at PYP a great one! Bell Attendants: Roy and Armoury. Front Desk, Platinum Building: Kiara, Lina, Cynthia, Carla and Melody. Plaza Bar (Servers and Bartenders): Jacinda, Sebastian, Iker and Nestor. Platinum Pool Bartenders: Alex, Leo and Colli. Rodeo Grill servers: Erick, Javier and Karem. Bruschetta servers: Jeronimo, Eduardo and Miguel. Aroma server: Esmeralda. Restaurant Host Alfonso, Hostesses Maylin and Berenice. Room Attendant: Clarissa. Beach BBQ: Rodolfo. Although their names are already mentioned above, the following team members went above and beyond in our view: Leo from the Platinum Pool bar (and later moved to Plaza Bar in the evening) - doing a great job doing his thing behind that bar, especially in that direct sun in the afternoon but still taking the time to interact!, Jeronimo from Bruschetta - always went out of his way to say hi to us even though he was only our server for one meal. Nestor from the morning shift at the Plaza Bar - he is a genuinely huge asset to PYP, smiling constantly, engaging and sincere. Our room attendant Clarissa - was patient with us when we needed to quickly get in and out of our room while she was cleaning, friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. And finally but certainly not least, we need to make sure Rodolfo from the Beach BBQ gets some attention here. He's mostly a one man show and doing an excellent job taking care of everyone, including what I am sure is all the funny orders people make. Thanks to all for making our stay at PYP exactly what we needed. We're looking forward to returning in 2026.

Great Resort to get some R&R…
We just finished 2 weeks at this resort. Staff, hotel room, food are very good. The buffet has excellent staff. Particularly Rogelio, Lizeth and Abby the different managers that we were acquainted with. The servers were very good as well. Martin, Bryan, Abileno, Guadalupe as well as Salatiel. All very helpful and proficient at their jobs. The cooking staff was excellent as well. Armando, Neyzer, Carmen, Isidro and Jose. The Concierge Staff, excellent as well. The Beach Hut restaurant has the best wings around. We ate there very often. The only downfall for us is the beach. There are many rocks in the water making the swimming unpleasant.
