Ok stay at Planet Hollywood (with a few caveats)
My partner and I travelled with another couple for a week at Planet Hollywood. We stayed in a swim-out room, while our friends booked a swim-out with Star Class. There was a mix-up upon arrival—we were initially told we had Star Class even though we knew we didn’t. Once that was sorted out, the resort still extended a few Star Class perks to us, including butler service, which was a nice gesture. Overall, we had a great experience, especially compared to previous stays at Princess (2024) and Bahia Tulum (2025). We booked à la carte dinners for the entire week, and the Italian restaurant was by far the best. We enjoyed it so much that we cancelled another reservation just to go back a second time (shout out to Yomelly for making this happen for us!!) We spent most of our time by the pool, with one day at the beach in the Star Class section. One downside: the pool could definitely be cleaned more frequently. At one point, my bathing suit literally smelled like urine, which was pretty off-putting. Better maintenance and clearer signage around pool hygiene would help. The adults-only pool was a highlight—service there was fantastic. Special shoutout to Julio and Samuel for their friendliness, great banter, and excellent service. That said, if you want a chair, you need to get there early. Although the resort says they remove towels left on chairs around 7 a.m., that was not our experience at the adults pool—chairs were often “claimed” early and left unattended for long periods. The buffet was good overall. Breakfast was the best (as is typical for most resorts). We didn’t try it for dinner, but lunch was just okay. The taco stand in the adults section was decent, though options and toppings were limited. Some of the nighttime activities were also a lot of fun. The beach party and karaoke at the sports bar were definite highlights. One recommendation: bring your own reusable cups. At some bars, we noticed that cups were being cleaned in what appeared to be a very minimal way - dunked in a bucket with lightly soapy water and wiped with a cloth before being reused. Unfortunately, our group ended up getting sick during the last day with what seemed like a mild case of gastrointestinal illness, which we suspect may be linked to the cup cleaning practices or possibly the pool water. As for Star Class, our friends didn’t find it worth the upgrade. Many of their requests (like a humidifier, extra pillows, and room service) were delayed or not fulfilled at all. Meanwhile, we had better luck simply using the operator function on the phone or TV - our requests were typically handled within 10–20 minutes.

I wouldn’t really consider it was a positive experience
The hotel has a good location, which was definitely a highlight of the stay. However, the overall experience was somewhat inconsistent. Housekeeping was not always completed daily, and the bedsheets were not changed as expected. Although we were told the fridge would be regularly restocked, this did not happen, and we had to repeatedly follow up just to get items like Pepsi and coffee. Dining was also a mixed experience. There were queues at all the restaurants every day, which made it inconvenient, and not all staff members were particularly welcoming. On a positive note, the food itself was of good quality, but it tended to be overly sweet, which may not suit European tastes.

Kids club
This review is specifically for the kids club - not the whole resort as we’re did have some service issues. Our kids had a wonderful experience at the kids club - they truly enjoyed all of the programming and don’t want to leave! Ralph the supervisor was their absolute favourite! Karyed Wendy Kim alis and Alondra were also great. Thanks for everything!

Fantastic week at Planet Hollywood
I was impressed with Planet Hollywood as a great moderate option for families or groups of friends. My butler, Edwar was exceptional and extremely responsive.
